Eastern Europe is cheap, Hungary sure is nice but I think especially Budapest is one of the more expensive areas of Eastern Europe. Italy, France, the UK and Scandinavia are quite expensive, as is the Netherlands. Germany is probably the cheapest of the western countries.

Norwegian has 3 genders. As has most Swedish and Danish dialects. It's just that standard Danish and Swedish don't use them.

The plural thing comes down to genders and cases mostly. English would have much more if it kept those. Though is still have a few different forms remaining, like children.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
For example in the norm or Norwegian Ivar Aasen wrote down a hundred years ago there would be many versions, but most of them would be of no use to English as they require other things, like genders and such. Not to mention that "the" is a suffix.

These are the conjugation just in nominative.

    Neuter:
    ĺr------ĺret------ĺr------ĺri
    year--the yeat--years--the years

    Strong Feminine
    Nĺl-------nĺlin-------nĺler-----nĺlerna
    Needle--the needle--needles--the needles

    Weak femininum
    Klubba--klubba--klubbor----klubborna
    Club---the club--clubs-----the clubs

    Maskuline:
    Ende---enden---endar---endarne
    End---the end---ends---the ends

If you really want to though you could just speak old English, just modernise the pronunciation and writing a bit

We also have it rather cheap here, at least from the western POV, but I have read about tourists getting ripped off in certain restaurants/bars in Old Riga, but with all that said, there are still a lot of tourists loving the night life. If you want to experience the night life then I would say having a person of trust is good. If I was a tourist I would probably visit outside of Riga as well, since there is a lot more to see IMO.

Can't you see English is going in an isolative direction? -es/-s plural is universal and keep growing, irregular plurals are few and far between and won't be things that are to catch on in the future. If anything, pluralization may end up with a classifier system a tad more simple than the one you proposed.

But, what is it with your fascination to 'force' stuff into English? We haven't even been able to do a proper spelling reform! Do you think anything as complicated as a new numbering system would catch on?

Those instransitive 'to be' phrases look a lot like the reflexive constructions in romance languages or it looks like there is some sort of dropped agent:

We were arrived [by the chauffeur]

Go make a posteriori English-base conlanguage or just one from scratch if you want to really test your theories.

Sitting at home the whole day doing absolutely nothing sounds quite nice too. Although I agree that I love that feeling when you've worked hard and just let yourself fall over on the couch.

    Get well soon, Joseph.

For some reason, I never catch cold. And when I do, it is always summer.

    Wait, hold on.

The rain can stop? Even in temperatures above freezing?

    Well good morning all.

I guess it can stop raining. I mean, ever hear of droughts and such?
