Final system specs and a whole new panorama

Hi guys,

We’ve got two great bits of news for you today. Firstly, answering a lot of your questions about hardware, we’ve confirmed the min/recommended specs for Total War: ROME II. You can read them on the Official Total War Wiki right here.

Secondly, we’ve released another of our legendary GIANT panoramas – this one taking in the splendour of the Battle of the Nile. Check out a small preview below, then go check it out for yourself right here, also on the Wiki.

The Battle of the Nile itself was playable at Rezzed this weekend. Check out the Eurogamer YouTube for the video of that, along with a look at live, running campaign map code on stage.

Next week we will be saying goodbye to the Nile for now with a video playthrough of the battle from the Roman side, just in case you’d like to see how we fared in the shadow of Hiro Tachiki's massive victory. Also, a new Rally Point will take an in-depth look at AI advances - we'll be talking to the battle team about that, so get your questions in now.

hey guys these are my specs, will i be able to play Rome II, i can run games such as Crysis 3 with all the settings on high but with shadows turned off

i can run massive battles in Shogun II perfectly with no lag whatsoever with everything on ultra but once again with the shadows off

here are my specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2300 CPU @ 2.80GHz
8GB Ram
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit
1GB ATI Radeon HD 5850
500GB HDD

so will i be able to run the game on these settings or do i have to upgrade something

What about AMD CPUs?
In previous requirements we could read "AMD equivalent" in minimum and recommended specs, compared to the listed Intel CPus. Now only Intel and Intel, no mention of AMD.

cpu part is scary for me
i have Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz

That panorama is pretty epic, possibly the best so far! Good to hear there's plenty of stuff coming next week, too and even better that my pc meets the recommended specs

What an incredible screenshot - wow! It's probably the most amazing thing I've seen in a game ever I think; immensely epic and beautiful at once! I can't wait anymore for this game!

So happy I built a new pc this year and I'll blow away these system requirements, it gives me piece of mind knowing I can enjoy this game in it's full glory. Thanks so much Craig and the rest of the TW team!

More info is good so thks! Is it only me who doesnt like the overly brown feel to that shot?

Yes I realise it is the desert but surely we could have some more vibrant greens etc, just to contrast with the sand?

Can you guys be a bit more specific when it comes to gpus? Can you at least give us an example of a gpu instead of just listing the amount of ram which doesnt really matter
