Rome 2 Demo shows up on Steam

If you go to coming soon on the store page and scroll down until rome 2 then keep going u see Rome 2 Software Demo. Maybe there will be a demo?

I love how they have said they don't have time to make a demo, but straight after promoted the fact they have demos at live events.

There may well be plans for a demo AFTER release - like Shogun2.

I really don't see the big deal, if you was to have a demo it'd be the same thing that everyone else is playing and you can see it in the posts. Your all moaning cause you don't want to listen to the number of people who have already played it.

Only thing that would happen is you'll constantly analyse the AI and the second they do something unnecessary be on these forums showing how a game that is still in the balancing department has done something wrong.

Pretty much this. As much as I'd love a demo like everyone else there's too many complaints on the stuff we've only "seen" so just imagine people picking apart an alpha gameplay *shudder* the forums would be in chaos

And I bet you say that believing that Craig has confirmed that, don.t you? Well, Craig has indeed confirmed that there will be no BETA, not a demo! The showcase they had at Rezzed it was called many times by the CA representatives there as being a demo. Maybe that is a part of a greater demo that will be released somewhere in August after they are nearly finished with the balancing of the gameplay.
