    Which Factions would you remove from this list and are I have missed any important ones?

    You missed out the county of flanders, which was a fully idendependant 'part' of france where the king of france had nothing to say and it often made war with france mostly with succes when the people were in charge. For a large time Flanders was bigger than the territory controlled by the King of france himself (this changed around 1200-1250 I believe) and was also more powerful than the king of france. Great crusader Godfry of Boulogne (of Bouillon he is called in belgium, this is wrong, he was originally 'godfry of boulogne' boulogne being flanders those days.)

    The Duchy of Brabant, Brabant was a larg strip of land from central belgium all the way up to central holland. It was an independant part of the German Empire which made war with france all the time. Brabant was probably one of the richest regions of europe at that time.
