    Expansional Rome
    Submod for RS 2.5b

This submod is for RS 2.5b ONLY.

This submod requires the following to run:

    RS 2.5b
    Rome Total War

    Optional:
    Rome Total War Barbarian Invasion
    Rome Total War Alexander

Expansional Rome or ExpR is a completely new sub mod made by me, Jim3323.
My goal is to add a more strength and feeling that Rome was a big power after the defeat of King Pyrrhos.
This is made by sacrificing a few historical facts in the current time.
In this mod you will might see people who died in certain battles pre Battle of Tresimene.
This is for allowing you the choice of their deaths instead of history, so that you can re-enact the battles.
And by giving the player more armies this also gives the enemy more economical challenges.

For example, choosing wether to send armies from your east and west front to save
Rome and face economical bankrupcy or expand along the Balkans,
Or fight the Carthiginians at their own front at Saguntum.
Or you might choose to do a balance of both.

That is for you to decide in ExpR.

I hope to give you regular updates and a release soon.

    More features to come:

    -New Battle traits
    -New Garrison traits
    -New settlements and regions
    -More buildings
    -Completely new Officer traits

    Current Features:

    -More Roman Generals and names
-Easier expansion in east and west because of new Expeditionary armies
-Changes to Roman Pre Marian units
    -Stronger Carthiginian presence in Hibernia

This submod doesn't work for me mate.

I copied both, the 0.22 and the 0.24 version over my Rome 1 turn campaign. deleted map.rvm, selected the Rome 1 turn campaign in the launcher and started the game.
I get a CTD, everytime I try to start a new campaign. I tried this with all 3 exe's, same for all. I get to the screen where you select camapign difficulty, battle difficulty, no battletime limit etc. and then the game ctds when I actaully click to start the campaign.
    I'm using RS 2.5 beta.

For it to work properly you have to move all the folders, not only the 1 turn Rome but all of them.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply!

Question before I copy all folders: I'm in the middle of a 2.5 Roman 0 turn campaign and don't wanna lose the save/corrupt the folder.

Would it be working to make a backup of my current Rome 0 turn folder, overwrite all folders with your folders in order to play your submod and basically overwrite the Rome 0 turn folder again with the backup if I want to continue my original 0 turn campaign and overwrite it again (a third time) with your folder if I want to continue to play your submod (so basically switching between your folder and the backup). I'm only playing as Rome, so all other folders could actually remain from your submod.

I would play your submod as the Roman 1 turn campaign.

Any chance of a modfoldered version in the future? And with modfoldered I mean RS2 style modfoldered, maybe with it's own folder called 'Expansional Rome' or somezhing like that, getting selected from the drop down menu in the launcher (like Demise of the Republic). That would enable us to keep the original RS 2.5 folders.

Ok, did what you said. Rome 0 turn is working. Looks good, can't wait to play V1.0

The Rome 1 turn campaign however is not working at all. Get a CTD when I try to start a campaign. Needs a fix

I'll try and make it compatible, in the meantime enjoy.
I will try and make it mod foldered, but for the moment I will tend to gameplay changes.

Do you know how long it will take you to reach version 1.0? (Approximately).

You don't need to state a date, but a raw estimte would be cool

Seeing how I will be studying after August I won't have that much time to spend on the mod but I hope to put together a small team to ease the time issue.
Currently I'm still learning how to add settlements and hard scripting traits so expect Version 1.0 to be out some time after Rome II Total War releases. But in the meantime small features and other stuff will be added.

Two or four settlements have been planned for version 0.5
Hopefully you can see one new settlement in version 0.3 or 0.4
