Thread: Expanded Japan (97 new regions, 101 new factions)

I've found that even though I get some error messages when I turn some small islands into regions I can add settlements to them. I've added settlements to the Tanegashima and Oki islands to test if there are any problems. I haven't added anything to the Koshikijima islands as they're not large enough to add a settlement to.

Also it took me about 30 retries to download it off of steam workshop as it kept failing. Downloaded it in less than a minute on the mirror but it failed to register through steam.
When you launch Shogun 2 you should get a menu which shows various mods. Ensure that the "expanded.pack" is ticked.

There's nothing I can really do to make it compatible with other mods, so unless TROM3 adds it to their mod then these mods won't be compatible.

Uanime how goes? Have you been tweaking how the factions deal with each other or saving that for later? I can do some of this if you'd like? Stuff like whos vassal of whom and looking into regional specialties? Lemme know-

I've finished making the borders and roads, and now I'm adding the new factions. I'd appreciate some information about diplomatic relationships and regional specialities (especially in Owari as I removed their port so I feel I should give them something).

There are two main limits to regional specialities:
    1) A region can only have one regional speciality.
    2) I can only add one of the default types of towns to a region (do you need me to repost the list of what these towns are and what they do?).

Oh, wonderful work! The campaign for Date in Tohoku would be absolutely epic now. As much as Oda struggle for Kyoto.

I Think ill be okay I have the other that's posted earlier, only thing is I might be off a clan or two. I have stuff written on most clans so I just need to organize and post. Ill consolidate it when I get home---- I wish we could tie in the cut province with their formers like a de jure vassal situation but that'd be my dream of crusader kings 2 and shogun 2 in one!!!!!!!

In Rome 2 you can assign several regions to a province, so if this feature was in Shogun 2 I could split regions while making them all part of the same province.

Update: while making the thumbnail for this mod (a map that contains all the regions and which factions controls them) I came across a problem. I was going to rename the Date region and its capital Yanagawa to Oshu and Nihonmatsu Castle respectively, then give it to the Nihonmatsu clan. However I've also added the region Isawa and the city Oshu next to it but don't have a faction I can assign to it. Should I give both regions to the Nihonmatsu clan?

The Tamura clan was a minor power in Mutsu province that were vassals of the Date clan during the Sengoku period. The clan was known as the Miharu Tamura clan -- Tamura Takaaki◾Born: 1517? ◾Died: 1574 Takaaki was the son of Tamura Yoshiaki. Surrounded by enemies on all sides, he allied himself with the Date clan, and married a daughter of Date Tanemune. He was talented in matters of both strategy and diplomacy, and rendered the Date clan valuable service over the years, serving in campaigns against the Satake clan and Ashina clan. His son Kiyoaki served the Date as well, and his granddaugter would marry Date Masamune. ??

If the last attachment doesn't work lemme know Uanime- you can read these for the clans and make your decisions on how you'd like the personalities, but they will give you some ideas on whos friendly with whom. I will do a province / district specialties tonight---- there is 134 some odd clans, ill do my best to get it done tonight.....Thursday night football notwithstanding

Ok I refreshed and it shows... double posting of Mimasaka - Urakami, if someone could let me know in vanilla how many regions of the 65 have specialties? I don't wanna give everyone something so a good percentage I can replicate-- thanks guys for all help and criticism or if you guys need a certain faction or port please post, I am no expert and we got someone who will do these changes for us with just a little bit of knowledge and why --- so if you wanna see something in particular, let someone know---
