Pea has continued her update, so we have the Amazon Goddess Theocrat Light Cavalry completely re-designed for full MBA spec with new look as well.

The Grenadier Cavalry and the Themiskyran General Bodyguard are next.

This is the seemingly never ending saga to get models ported to cross-platform formats. Also including critical bug fixes.

The 8.2 Release is an "odd" release to allow infantry units more fighting ability against Panzer Wagon units or cavalry units in forest environment.

The wagon units are given more handicap in the wooded area. And the cavalry unit also have handicap as well, just in a lesser scale.

For infantry units, non-Phalanx units have increased fighting ability in the wooded areas, particularly legion and peltast units.

8.2 also introduces the Amazon Birotum Panzer units, which is not dissimilar to what is described in Talhoffer's Manuscript.

Release 8.2B is a major revamption of infantry units by our Lead Animation Specialist Pea.

The idea is to allow infantry to overpower some uber powerful battle wagon or cavalry units in the woods, and the new animation is needed to justify the requirement clause.

8.2C introduced the mano-ballista troops for the Romans, Macedonians, and the Greeks,both in infantry and cavalry form.
Since these new units potentially changed the game dynamics, a new release revision has been created.

8.2C also introduce ancient birotum "tank" which can be formed into wagon fort (aka laager, or tabor)

8.2D has created a title system where generals from all the factions can earn titles to gain stars, management rating, and prestige.

Heretofore, only Romans and the Amazon factions can have generals awarded titles.

The 8.2E Release has dual Amazon Models, one for 18+ players, and the other for recommended age 16 and above.

Our final goal is to allowing the player to copy the content of the appropriate sub-folders to the Amazons Total War data folder, you can play either the adult only (with nudity), or the more family friendly version.

The 16+ age version is still being beta tested, so per warning associated with this thread and the ModDB download page, please do not access the download unless you are over 18 years of age.

A new 8.3 release has been put out at ModDB supposedly to be more "family friendly" with nudity minimized..

The difference between 8.2E and 8.3 is the 8.3 only has the non-adult version (this is still being beta-tested, so use it at your own risk, 18+ age recommended).

The eventual goal is to make 8.3 a PG-13 version of the 8.x series, Although the development team believe this to be 99.9% complete, we still want to put the warning out for possible nudity flash.

Major bug fixes for 8.3 and 8.4 have been uploaded to ModDB, where Gallic (Arvenii) Amazon standard bearer can cause a CTD.

Also the barbarian factions can finally build and recruit the battle wagon units without special Amazon buildings.

Amazons Total War now starts at the year 450BC, still plays with 4 seasons. There is still a mode with 270BC but you need to run a patch utility to revert back to the old setting.

Achaemenid Empire is now a faction (and the largest)
Roman is pre-marian reform and more or less just a city state
Gauls occupies a vast territory
Celts became much more powerful but now has three non-connecting territories scattered across the map
The Greek Cities are now the PanHellenic League with colonies in Crimea, Africa, and other places
Macedon is now the Dorian League
Seleucid is now the Ionian League
The Themiskyran Amazon is now a goddess theocracy
The Steppe Amazons are now back to their Ancestral land of Albana guarding the Caspian/Caucasus Gate, and now with the Aphrodite cult, opposing the Innana/Artemis Cult.
The original Priestess Amazons are now at the Caucasus Iberia (yes there was such a place), guarding the northern Caucasus Gate, and in constant feud with the Aphrodite Cult of Albana Amazon.
Massagetae is a new powerful faction sitting astride the northern Asian frontier of the Achaemenid Empire
Scythian is more powerful than before but with two non-connecting territories.
Carthage is the most powerful maritime faction and has trading posts all over the Mediterranean.

The new 8.4C release is now available, the game defaults to 450BC, with storyline and text (plus translation).

You can run the 270BC utility at the top of the AmazonsTW-Refulgent directory to revert back to 270BC mod.

Hundreds of minor bugs corrected.

Per suggestions from ModDB fans, we are looking into a 1,200BC mod as well.
