Hiring generals/governers

Is it possible in RTR Platinum to hire generals/governers or are we still depending on a family members and wining captains?

I like to have a governor in all my cities, so...

No, it`s not. I mean it is possible to have them with the engine of RTW v1.5 (Terrae Expugnandae has them after all), but this thing was not implemented in RTRPE. However, you do know that you can have that option of managing all settlements at the begining of a campaign, right?

Yes, I manage everything, but (most) generals have additional influence on taxes, population, mining, training, etc. This is what I missed in original RTW and got used to in RTW BI. :hmmm:

Shame each unit doesn't have a "leader" with stats ala MTW. They were never as good as generals, but sometimes got one with a few points of management, and was nice to have him pull double duty as governor/garrison.
