AI shieldwall

I have noticed that AI troops in NI forms the shieldwall quite offen while I have enver seen AI forming shieldwall in VI2. Anybody, knows how it is possible? I wish to make AI in VI2 to form shieldwall as well.

Since formations in the two mods are identical, I'm guessing it has to do with unit stats and/or own/enemy army compositions. I know this isn't a very useful answer, but it's difficult to do research in those areas of the game.

Thansk for answer. I thought that you have done something intentionaly in NI to encourage AI building shieldwall. It is possible taht it depends on enemy army composition as I have seen AI shilewall in most if not all cases formed by English when I was playing as a Norman.
