I would like to discuss about the Greek, Carthaginian - and others - colonies around the Mediterranean sea and the regions they are related to.
Sorry if this was already discussed before, I tried to find such thread with the research options but failed to find any. So here I go...
My main example is about Massalia. We know the map depicted in the wiki section of Rome II is not the final version of the game's map.
But I was wondering how CA is going to represent such colonies in the game. Or is it going to be the old fashion way with a colony controlling a whole region (here the region of Massalia) ???
Wouldn't it be strange if Massalia control the whole region (which means controlling many Gauls tribes such as the Allobroges). Or Massalia is going to be only in control of the city of the region?
Same could be said about colonies in Southern Italy and Sicily.
And how about sub-cities. For example with the Massalia region, are we going to have Roman cities (once it becomes Roman territory) such as Lugdunum ? Or is it, as well, the old fashion way, with one city and just farms, mines and that's all?
Can we expect an evolution in the provinces? I know it would be pretty hard if not impossible to make, but with the Provincia region, it would later become the Narbonensis region and Tolosa or Massalia is certainly not the capital!!!
