Bring back the Princess

So we know Generals wont be a major player in rome 2 but do we know if there bringing back family members like the princess in medieval 2. They kinda did in shogun 2. Would be cool if you can marry off unwanted family members to other factions not only making them friendlier but also if the right people are knocked off the two factions merge. i know this was possible in medieval 2 but it was always near impossible to achieve due to the overwhelming number of people you could adopt. What do you guys and girls thing????

What do you mean by this? I was really looking forward to using generals that are not in the family. One thing I did not particularly like about Rome was how all generals were in the family. I had to choose between only using family which is kind of boring or corrupting the Julii gene pool.

Please no, Having to many different kinds of meaningless agents on the campaign map was a big flaw of M2TW. I'm happy that CA has found a balance in having 3 types of agents allthough for me 2 would also have been sufficient.

As far as I understand in TWR2 we will have 3 types: assasins/spies, Heroes/Gladiators and druid/senators/priests/witches.

Considering the artwork shown these agent types will be around in both male and female form (so far I'v seen female witches/druids and female heroins) but I guess the availability of female types of the agents will depend on the faction (I'm not so fond of the barbarian female heroes, but would be even less enthousiastic with femal gladiators or female senator type units.

Anyhow, I hope we will soon get mor campaign map information allthough worst case scenario is that we will have to wait for E3 before we will see anything of the campaign map.

Does anyone know BTW how far before release in for example STW2 or ETW the campaign map was shown?

So, if I'm reading it correctly, you want to marry your faction princess to another faction. Then the family members of the other faction will somehow meet "untimely" deaths. Then all their regions fall right into your lap. Is this what you're planning?

I wouldn't mind if women actually played a role this time around, instead of being just baby machines like in Rome 1. So you could marry them of to create an alliance, or use them as druids, priestess, assassins etc...

Crusader Kings 2? ....I never did wrap my head around that game, I think this video sums it up pretty well of my experience of the game.

where did you got THAT??? link pls, I'm afraid I'm goin to puke due to thinking about gladiators out of the arena used in another purpose than entertainment.

Dont think that on those ancient times princess´s would have any important role on major diplomacies betwen civilizations.

3 different agents was mentioned in some german article after the gameshow in germany, translation can be found here and there. Added to that the various designs shown from characters in for example lusteds exclusive thread.

I'm not sure about gladiators, could be I'm imagining things but I think I read it somewhere, but I'm definately not sure about them.

I'm sure though about 3 types of agents

spy/assasin - druid/priest/witch - hero

The form and name of the agents will probably vary by the faction so I'm not rulling gladiators out just yet

haven't they always been a good way to make an alliance though? The princess might not have had much power herself, but could often be a valuable asset.
