Roma Surrectum crashing?

Ive followed all the steps to installing the 1.6a patch and every time i try to start a campaign it crashes and says programme not responding any help?

Try completely uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, and then reinstalling the mod.

I'm getting the same crash. Still not working but tried the following:
1 Installed the game
2. Watched an episode of spartacus war of the damned.
3 Verified game cache (another episode during this and the download of the mod.)
4. Installed mod 1.6
5. Installed patch 1.6a
6. Set auto-save to false in preferences
7. added RomeTW-BI.exe -mod: -nm -show_err to launch options in steam.
8. started BI
9. Read quotes
10. Crash at load screen of the campaign.
11. Uninstalled the game through steam.
12. Removed folder
13. Reinstalled
14. Reinstalled mod 1.6
15 Reinstalled patch 1.6a
Same result...
Tried to launch as admin, didnt fix the problem.
System:
win 7 64 bit.

Guess I'll be watching spartacus again. Please help
