Here are some MP tips, for more information read the Gameplay & tactics Preview

-Use more the General & Officer units, I usually want to have minimal three: keep them close behind your defending or attacking units and do not forget to activate the Moral Boost (War Cry in RTW) button.

-All Russian units have a melee bonus compared to French units, use the bajonet whenever on even odds against them.(French Fusiliers are bugged at the moment, they are to strong, we will patch that later).

-When playing Russians use a good screen of Jaegers before you attempt a charge, French are better shots so do not neglect to counter-skirmish against French Light.

-Do not attack on a very broad front, look for weak spots in your enemy lines, preferable concentrate your artillery on that spot before you charge.

-Concentrate your charge, send in some columns close after eachother or in echelon, again with officer units in support. Keep some cavalry in support, in case the other party tries flanking a charge.

    - Use more the alt+attack option when you want units to charge, put guard and fire at will buttons off, order halt to stop them firing and alt+attack.

-Use roads as much as possible going through creeks, ditches, swamps will tire your men, rest them before a charge and especially after a long march.

-Use maximum firepower when defending, artillery on flanks, always with support nearby as they probably will be attacked.

-Just drop your artillery when they are in real danger, just like you did with siege equipment in RTW, when it is safe again, attach the crews back to the pieces.

-Do not use cavalry if you can avoid it in frontal charges against formed infantry, look for flanks or the back, preferable hit a unit with cav coming from two sides.

-When you charge with lancer units always use the alt+attack option then they will charge with the lance, that has a big impact and afterwards switch to their swords to continue fighting.

-If you do attempt a frontal charge use heavy cavalry only and try to give them a bit of support from light infantry or artillery. In other words soften them up a bit first.

-When charged by cavalry try to form a tight formation as soon as possible, no fancy stuff just compact and put them on guard quickly.

-Examin the battlefield carefully before rushing in, or deploying a defensive stance, knowing your surroundings will help. Try using terrain or villages as flnk protection if you can.

-Hide and screen your movements as long as you can from the enemy, use cover for your troops in woods, reverse slopes, ditches against artillery and your enemy sight.

-Hold a strong reserve ready in case of emergencies or for covering a sudden retreat or routing troops.
