Any ale? I could drink a barrel of the stuff.

Roger chuckled,
No wonder you didn't want to come back. Though you might as well, we've only got some manky Scottish ale. It's even more sour than this rotten wine.

Carlisle scratched at his flea-ridden beard.

Is the campaign over?

Roger looked over at the king.
His majesty seems to make it up as he goes along.

The baron sneered as he said that last part.

He moves past Carlisle seemingly oblivious to his presence. He is talking quietly to his squire his words are inaudible.
