    Default Line of sight feature?

Does this mod include the battle line of sight(fog of war) feature in it similar to IS and NTW3? Am I correct in understanding that the USA is only playable through RTI with ER Realism?

Line of sight is implemented but slightly different than in both mentioned mods. Its more tactical. Every unit type has different spotting ranges for different terrain, and every unit type has different abilities to hide in terrain.. For example, Line infantry can only hide in forest, while Light infantry can also hide in scrub. Skirmishers can hide anywhere. Same with Spotting - Skirmishers are ideal for scouting, they can detect hidden units at longer distances, while Line infantry wont spot hidden unit until very close.. This allows you to set up ambushes properly and gives Skirmishers some advantages in ambushes.

Same thing is applied to cavalry, where Light cavalry is ideal for scouting (anyway nowhere as effective as skirmishers), while Heavy cavalry wont see some hidden units until very close. Generals have also high detection range, which means if you use them in front line they help you detect enemy units. (this is to represent some sort of command radius)

Thank you for the response and the info, sounds interesting. I'll give it a go with the US in RTI.
