New Interim Leader

Spartan1015 wants to take over as the interim leader. This position basically will just give him the ability to appoint a new coder when he finds one. He has decided to take up the challenge of finding a new coder to complete the additions needed to produce a final version of the mod. I hope all goes well in this quest and hope that everybody will help and support him as best as possible.

Practically all of the artwork needed to complete the mod is in the beta, all that is required to finish it is edition of the text files. Spartan will try to find somebody who can do this.

The new lydian units will need unit cards and for the general's pictures the greek generals from RTW and the faction leaders pictures from the faction selection menu can be used.

Spartan1015: The Elite

Spartiates were the elite warrior class of the rigidly hierarchical Spartan society. From a young age, male Spartiates were trained for battle and put through grueling challenges intended to craft them into fearless warriors. In battle, they had the reputation of being the best soldiers in Greece, and the strength of Sparta's hoplite forces led to Sparta becoming the dominant state in Greece at several points during the Hellenic period.

You might want to add to that list

(35) - change formations to reflect military practice in the late bronze age (ie hero/elite units fight first/against same, rest sit back and watch LOL!)

BTW, Can you remove the siege towers and saps? I don't think so. I tried, it crashed the game.


I suggest not getting too serious about major changes to TTW until MTWII comes along and we see how that can be modded.
