    Default New Faction Ideas

    Here is a list of factions which I would like to see included in Hyrule Total War. Please add any other faction ideas you have and support your favorites! Thanks! I've split this into several posts for convience.

    1) Clock Town- With the opening of fissures to Terminia, itis possible for more then just the Kingdom of Ikana to move troops betweenTerminia and Hyrule, now the powerful city-state of Clock Town is capable oftraversing between Hyrule and Terminia. The city-state can either use thefissures between Ikana and Hyrule or during certain festivals they can sendtroops to the Lost Woods through Clock Town. The Terminians are descended fromHylians which worshipped Majora, howeverthey changed their ways after the Goddesses banished them from Hyrule, but insteadof worshipping the Goddesses they worship four giants they believe createdTerminia. Thanks to a unnamed hero the Deku, Goron and Zora tribes are nowruled over by Clock Town, however should their capitals be taken they will nolonger provide Clock Town with troops. These following buildings allow uniqueunit recruitment for the people of Clock Town; Music Box; located in the CanyonVillage, it provides the recruitment of charmed Gibdos. Hag's Potion Shop;located in the Deku Palace, it allows the recruitment of powerful hags, as wellas deku monkeys. Zora Hall; located at Zora Hall allows the recruitment ofgiant sea turtles and musicians, whichinspire troops. Snowhead; located at Snowhead, allows the recruitment ofBiggorons. In addition they get simple troops from the Zora faction, dekutribes and gorons. However should theylose these peoples capitals they will lose their support. One final thing;should they gain control of the four temples located throught Terminiathey will gain the giants as heroes. Otherunits include; Clock Town guard, Tingles, archer units and mounted units. Ledby Mayor Dotour.

    2) Yetis- the yetis have long ruled over Snowpeak mountainand have adapted well to the snow, taming many of the wild beasts which livethere. This gives them an army of soldiers well suited for icy warefare. Their units include Ice keese, frezards, yetiinfantary, anouki tribesmen, eeno, whitewolfos, Chilfos and Yooks. This faction recieves penalties in deserts. It is notuncommon for soldiers to die or disband when marching through deserts. Led byYeta.

    3) Demons- The demons have lived in Hyrule for centuries,having fought the early demi-goddess Hylia for supremecy over Hyrule. They arelead by Demise. Units include; decieved hylians- Hylians which turn to Demise, Sword entities-powerful demons bound to sowrds, the Imprisoned- Demons cursed by Hylia longago, have lost all thought except the desire for power. Demon infantary- Demons who fight on the groundwielding powerful swords. Rupee Demons- Comeing from Tingle's Rupeelandpowerful rupee shaped demons, expensive, but powerful, in adition they have differentspecies of bulibins at their desposal. Led by Demise. “We fight fordestruction.”

    4) The Keaton Confedracy- The keatons of the land north ofthe kingdom of Hyrule, have created a confederacy of different groups ofthieves including Gerdu thieves and pirates, bulbin raiders, keaton highwaymen, hylian thievesand forest bandits. Play extremly similar to Clock Town, should their ally losetheir capital, they will lose units. They have trouble being trusted by other nations, and despise theHylians. The confederacy was formed due to necessity in a world of growingempires thieves must work together in order to survive. When the Keatons use aspy there is a chance they may gain gold from their target. Led by Blind theThief. “We fight for money.”

    5) The Goddesses- Should a nation gain all the hidden peicesof the triforce, along with the spiritual stones and the ocarina of time theywill gain access to the Sacred Realm, a territory ruled directly by theGoddesses. They are an extremely powerful faction, with immensly powerfulunits, however the units are extremly expensive and take forever to train. TheGoddesses posses the most powerful units in the game. including fierce deities,ancient Hylians, Occoa units and armies of Sages and sage spirits. Led by Din,who, in this time of empires fighting for power, is the most powerful andoverthrew the other two. “We fight for Power.”

    6) Skyloft- Early when the world was only forming, thepeople of Skyloft descended from the sky onto the land and forged an empireknown later as the Kingdom of Hyrule, however some remained behind, contrary tothe popular belief that they became the Occoa, they actually continued thereworship of Hylia in the ancient city of Skyloft. A new realm is introduced, withthe factions of Skyloft and Occoa, also introduces the worship of Hylia, agreat demigod, worshipped by many as more powerful than the Goddesses. Unitsinclude Knights of Skyloft, Guardian birds, sky spirits, powerful tornados, andbasic infantary and archery. Led by Headmaster Gaepora.

    7) Hylia- With the return of Demise, the demigoddess Hyliarealizes she must defeat him, she has gathered her faithful in Skyloft and onthe surface. Those on the surface she personaly comands, leaving her favored race in the sky to fend for themselves, shehas kept hidden her faithful on the surface, the ancient robots, the moogma, thekikwi and the parellas. The ancientrobots use powerful technology, the kikwi use stealth in the forests, theparellas have a bonus in the water, andthe moogmas have bombs and can dig under enemies. Similar to Clock Town andKeaton, if the capital of a subfaction (moogma, ancient robots, ect.) is lost theyloose units. Led by Hylia. “We fight for those who can’t.”

    8) The Minish- Should a faction search the piccorou ruinsthey will find the minish cap, and after researching this mythical device, theycan duplicate it, shrinking their armies, allowing them to enter the Minishworld and conquer it. This gives them the Minish ruppee supply. However the Minish may search a ruinin the Minish world, find the Minish cap, reverse its power and find themselvescapable to claim the land of Hyrule. Have fairly weak units, lots and lots ofruppees and the ability to suprise enemies. Fight with spears of sharp four leafclovers. Posses basic units, they also have trained many of the smaller speciesof animal, giving them keese riders and trained rats. Led by Vaati, a youngMinish who desires to rule to land of Hyrule.

    9) The Oocca- However close they may be to the Goddesses,they are still subject to the Council of Sages, who are those choosen by theGoddesses. They hate the Skyloftians, who worship the false Goddess, Hylia, somuch so that they have even formed an uneasy alliance with their ancientnemisis, the dragons. The Oocca have many unique units granted to them by theGoddesses themselves. They also have dragons and dragonlings. Led by Argorok,while not really in command, the dragon Argorok has control over most of thearmy and drives the political engines of the Oocca.

    10) Rito- The bird people from across the sea, they have manyspecial units, including the dragon guardian of their island, also havebombers, with their native bomb flower. They have air supperiority in all oftheir battles. Led by Valoo.

    11) The Skull Kids- The usually innocent skull kids have beendecieved by Majora. They have under their service the fairies of Termania, thegerdu pirates, pupets, chu-chu, all of the bosses from Majora's Mask, skull kids, aliens (the ones which invaded Terminia'sversion of Lon Lon Ranch) and many other creatures and units. Led by Skull Kid.“We fight for fun.”

    12) The Wind Tribe- The ancient Wind Tribe is extremelypowerful and has under its power the ancient armos. Little to nothing is knownof the wind tribe, except for their power at magic. Their army consits of basicunits and powerful mages, which can be upgraded with magic. They can be reachedthe same way Skyloft and the Oocca can, with the construction of a cannon and thenairships (moddled after Beedle's in Skyward Sword) can be built. Main featureis custimizable units. For example the regular wariors can have fire, ice orelectricity upgrades increasing the damage of their weapons against certainopponents. Example fire is probably best used against the deku. Their leaderremains unknown. “We fight for the wind.”

    13) Garo- Similar to the shiekah of the Kingdom of Hyrule,but the opposite. While the Shikah protect the chosen race of the Goddesses,the Hylians, the Garo protect the chosen race of Majora, the Ikanians. The Garo peopleoriginally sought the destruction of the Ikanans, having orchastrated theIkanian civil war. However after Majora saw what they had done to his preciouseIkanians, he punished the Garo, in the worst way possible, he made it so they,the greatest opponents against the rise of Majora, would be his most faithfulservants, all while desiring in their hearts the downfall of Majora. Thus theGaro would work undercover to bring about the rise of Majora, all while wishinghis destruction. Units are practicully the same as the Shikah. Leader is theGaro master. “We fight for what we hate.”

    14) The Hero of Time- The Hero of Time has the ability to forma kind of "super alliance" between multiple nations and thus gain allof their units and buildings and a city from each. However these nations mustfollow strict Goddess worship. However the hero of time can convert non-majoraworshipping nations to Strict Goddess worship by compleating quests for them(conquer cities in their names). Leader is Link.

    15) Outset Island- The islanders of Outset have expandedgreatly over the past years, gaining a hold in Windfell island, as well as theforest haven, home of the pygmy Koroks. The Island nation has many unique unitsincluding island faries, islanders, war pigs, giant pigs, tingles, pirates, thewise fishmen and the Gods of the Winds. Leader is Orca. “We fight for the Sea.”

    16) The Tingles- Natives of Rupee-land. They have many usfalskills, make great mapmakers and explorers of unknown lands. units includeTingle infantary- tingles armed with swords. Tingle Bombers- Tingles inballoons which drop bombs, Tingle mages- mages which shoot magic at foes, warBarkles- war dogs dressed like tingle, Shooting gallary men- Tingles fatherworks in the shooting gallary buisiness and knows people who do the same theyare the hardiest archers, perhaps bettersuited for hand to hand. Pinkle's fairies- family members of the fairy Pinkle, agood friend of Tingle. Leader is Tingle. “We fight for rupees.”

    17) The Council of Sages- The religious authority of Hyrule,they have power over the cities which follow strict Goddess worship. Have powerto create crusades and can recruit units from any nations following its religion.Replaces the Oocca. Is no leader, as it is a council.

    P.S. I’ve got no clue how the Medival Total War II engineworks and don’t know if there is any “max number of factions” I know they’remaybe to many, but these are just suggestions.

    Yeah there's a limit and i believe Neph has all the faction slots filled, some just aren't in the campaign yet.
