It would be a nightmare...trying to do the graphics for seasonal change and a whole host of other game effects that would be hardwired into a one year per turn design, better to get CA to adopt a 4 turn per year structure and just have multiple shorter scenarios/campaigns. Of course you can also include one long campaign for those who want that experience.
From what I've seen, it affects everything from character traits to events timing. Every mod I've played that changed the TPY there have been issues and sometimes major bugs. If CA goes ahead and makes it 1 TPY, I don't see good things happening, especially with the luck most modders have had with the Warscape engine.![]()
Oh well, I guess i'll just wait until some decent mods come out, possibly a Darthmod if he's in the mood.
Also wait for the game to come out first.
In some startpos calendar table or something in Shogun 2. Not sure about ETW and NTW but possibly something similar. If Daniu or someone else probably want and can quickly update the PFM to be able to open Rome II files then it's fairly easy to do if CA did not release mod tools for Rome II.
If I remember correctly added turns for Empire was among the earliest mods that came out once modding tools are out.
