    Default Last Peek Ildiri Moonguard

The big preview thing is coming, but I managed to get the Moonguard done as I wanted finally. I've put virtually no time in, but the preview ain't being done by me, so it's fine. Sorry I have been blegh, but you will get non-blegh from other people SO:

FINALLY redid the Moonguard to what I wanted.

They have big, razor-sharp axes. Heroncrest Myrmidons have axes, but they're very different units in every way.

Axes shouldn't be too big if they're held in one hand.

Yup...you'd think. Unless you were me, in which case you wouldn't...yes, they will not have a shield. HOW can I be so dense? I would have caught that at the making axe stage...

It retains, as always, you level of excellent unit design, Squeaks. Bravo!

I don't understand what you're trying to say. The unit in the picture has a shield.

I want this mod to be good, not ridiculous, over-the-top "fantasy" bullcrap with huge two-bitted axes held in one hand, anime-style giant swords, and spiked shoulder armour. There is already a Warhammer mod. This is an original work so I hope you won't lapse into cliches.

    Look above....

Me too. I actually can't stand those sorts of things. A sword bigger than the person using it is weird to me. I don't really think spiked stuff is up to much, save for a few bits in it - some CHitkinnen (rats) have spiky-bits, but it's not a theme, and they're not big, just hurty. Oddly, I think you can pre-judge a fantasy film/series by the helmets worn by the bad guys...if they look REALLY bad, then usually it's because the film is

There is a warhammer mod, yup. No, this isn't warhammer or big swords. These chappies won't have hug axes, and they won't have a shield....I just forgot what I was up to.

Just to cheer you up, and before the preview, but Moonguard:

    ALl a bit furry, but

Axe needs re-uving, but that's later. I want their axes to look very very nice.

What you said was good, and it's good to hear. I see these things as supportive, so it's actually welcome...if I was into big one handed axes, then I'd probably have been quite miffed, but luckily I'm not Thanks though....you said people were excited by this...that a BIG thing to hear and very positive indeed.

They look incredible...I'm sure they'll look fantastic under the sword of the Badabaska.

There's a few things to get out of the way before you start killing elves with Badabaska, but I dare say it'd be unpleasant when the two met....we're hoping that the unit abilities and stuff will be pretty well done...Moneybags is writing a bit of software to allow him to properly represent them in the mod. If that is successful, it'll be truly incredible...the limits of the engine on a large fantasy mod are stretched a little, but this should be the answer!
