Changing nation in game

Hi all. Has anybody found out a way of changing a players nation mid way through a campaign? Say I start as Britain in 1700 then want to play as Prussia for a bit by 1710 and then switch back to Britain by 1715. I've managed to do quite a few changes using the ESF editor - adding more money, changing unit limits, technology etc... but I've not managed to find a way yet. Anyone had any luck???

Try this, but I can't promise anything.

You need two savegames!
1. Play your game unitil you want to switch. Save!
2. Start new game with the nation you want to play. Save!

Open 2nd savegame with EsfEditor and delete CAMPAIGN_MODEL. Open 1st savegame and copy CAMPAIGN_MODEL into the 2nd savegame. Save! Select xyz/SAVE_GAME_HEADER and change 4th value on the right side to the year you want to start. Save and start your game with this save!

This was just an idea, have no clue if it works. You have to try.
