Thread: Armies that Appear out of no where.

Default Armies that Appear out of no where.

I've been playing this mod for almost a year now and when I go to attack an enemy settlement that appears to have only 2 or 3 units, I end turn and boom, a full stack is there. Is this a glitch or can I also do this? It irritates the out of me because it could set me back with my kind of strategy. I know send a spy ahead of time and attack when my chances of gate being open is high.

It's called the garrison script. Questions about it are genuinely everywhere. There will be an option to turn it off in the next release of the mod.

Garrisons appear 1 turn after siege start. If you don't want them to appear, you can:
    1. use spies (stack them in enemy city) and attack when gate is open at once
    2. use siege engines and start attack without siege
    3. remove script from files (delete some text), but it's little complicated (need some knowledge)
    4. use 2.1a - afair the was no script in that version

Yeah, I'll go with the spies. They're cheaper, faster, and less tedious lol. Thanks for the help, can't wait for the next release.
