    Default Help With Gimp

    Every time I open this one map to work on, Gimp becomes EXTREMELY slow. Searched on Google to find a solution, could not find one.
    Image size is 3765x2860
    In addition there are a few path layers (used to be probably over a hundred text path layers before I merged them all) and 8 layers.
    Any solutions?
    Screw it, I'm going back to using Gimp 2.6
