New Total War game??!! Byzantium: Total War

You know, thinking of all the total war games... and going back to the sword and arrow... and thinking of the Roman Empire, its history and what became of it. I couldn't help but wonder....

Why couldn't we have a continuation of the Rome: Total War?? Byzantium: Total War!!!! dealing with the crusaders of the time, and with the growing turkish threat stealing away Byzantine lands. I am not talking about a medieval total war game... I am talking about a game with a focus on the Byzantine Empire. I would think, any total war fan who read their history would want to play a game with their culture.

What time period are you thinking? Because I would assume most of this could be covered by a Dark ages game and Medieval 3.

I think total war revolving around the Far East could include Byzantium in the far west of the map, as well as including places like Japan, China etc.

Unfortunately I don't think we're even going to get a Total War game where the East has a strong presence. I would like to be pleasantly surprised by CA in the future, but I don't think this will be the case.

You need something iconic(sic!) as a setting for a Total War game. Everyone has some image of Samurai, Knights and a Roman Legionnaire. Only history nerds know much about the Byzanthin Empire and that´s too small a market.
