Hopefully, we'll get 2 new members, and that will be 10 factions in total.

How does war work then? If you can invade an enemy and owned province at will, the larger empires will obviously win, because then can conquer 2-3-4 regions and smaller ones can only conquer 1-2.

IC: The Minoan Republic declares war on the Kingdom Skardainia in Italy! The reason for war being that it is a state quickly rising in power and threatens the security of the home island of Crete proper. A large Minoan war fleet sails from Crete and lands a great army of thousands of archers, chariots, and axmen to overrun the Italians. No doubt this will hurt the Minoans’ political reputation around the world considerably...

The Minoan Merchant Council also declares war on the Republic of Genoa in Italy. The Minoans and Genoese have long been rivals competing for trade lanes in the eastern Mediterranean. A small Minoan force takes the island of Samos from the Genoese. One by one all of Genoa’s trade posts in the Aegean shall be eliminated.

OOC: I suggest that newcomers create factions in central Europe so that they are far from established factions and therefore can expand without problems.

@ Warrior Cat, We Skardainians had no intentions of fighting you "Glorious" Minoans. If you cease your aggressions then we will not interfere with your lands. If you accept a cease fire, then we will offer large sums of gold and unlimited access to all our trade routes.
So do you accept our proposition, or do you decide to ignore us as if we are begging peasants waiting to die.

Republic of Lusitania condones Minoan Republic actions and threatens them with diplomatic, and if necessary, martial actions if they do not make a peace treaty with Republic of Skardainia.
I propose a non-aggression treaty with the Desert Fighters, for betterment of our relations.

EDIT: To Desert Fighters, we only want one more province from Africa, the one east from Ceuta for access to the Balearic sea, the non-aggression treaty proposal stands.
2nd EDIT: I propose an alliance with Kingdom of Skardainia, with the goal of pushing the Minoans out of Italy, but the proposal only stands if they refuse the peace treaty. I send a PM to kingofspoons with more details.
