Thread: Challenge: 99 Turns

    Default Challenge: 99 Turns

Well hey guys! As all of you, I'm a big fan of this modification and spent countless hours fighting for middle earth. But at some point throughout the game I decided that I needed a new challenge. Since there is no satisfying way to play it in multiplayer I came up with a different attempt.

I played with several races for exactly 99 rounds and compared the results. That was fun for a while but then I wanted to share my results with the community. That's when I thought of making it a competition. Nothing too serious just a way to compare yourself with other fans and to have a way to share your epic campaigns with others!

    The rules are very simple:
    - Play on vh/vh
    - for exactly 99 turns(until the end of round 99, when you would press "end turn")
    - share your results with us!
(-) Screens as evidence are not necessary but welcome!

I for my part used MOS without revivable heroes/nazgul but I have no idea how much of a difference mods make.

Long Story short, here are my results, beat me! (or try a different race and be the first one to score)

I nice idea, but I think you should define more precisely some rules, if it is to be a competition

I suppose it will take a while for people to take part on it, 99 turns take me normally one month of play (I only play on weekends! ), I will check and see if any save I have is around this point.. guess not anyway

    let's see what others think

Of course it will take people a while to get to 99. Unless you have save of course. But then again, I'm in no hurry. It really was fun for me to just try and see where I'd be at after 99 rounds and I expect it to be even more fun as more and more players participate!

Man, I'm playin gundabad at the mo and have no idea how you achieved 21 regions in 99 turns!

I literally can't make enough troops to fight anyone... :/
Loose - Free or released from fastening or attachment "a loose tooth".

Lose - Be deprived of or cease to have or retain "I've lost my appetite".

I think I was so succesful because I built warg cages wherever possible (from round1 on!) and in battle mainly focused on keeping the wargs alive and used them to charge from behind and hunt down enemies. Since they lower the enemies morale they're the perfect tool to make the enemey rout. Especially versus Eriador!

This is your score after 99 rounds, right? I added it to the list!

Interesting Idea I just reached turn 99 in my Eriador campaign (also with MOS), so here we go:
    - Largest city: About 27000 in Annuminas
    - Highest income(of a single city): 2100 in Bree
    - Regions under control: 30
    - Annihilated enemies: 2 (OoG and OoTMM)
    - Victory(Long Campaign): No.
    - Lots of dead millitia: Yes.

I could probably have destroyed Dunland as well, but I decided to turtle for the last 15-ish turns, so I would still have something to do when I'm Arnor Also, Dunland has the strange habit of attacking me every 3 turns, and then asking for a ceasefire which they are willing to give me 15K for, which motivated me to not kill them

Hehe I remember a lot of dead eriador-militia when I played gundabad!

I enjoy seeing your scores, as they tell stories themselves! I surely wonder how you managed to get so many inhabitants in your starting cities! Impressive you guys.
