I have to agree. Although if humans live to see it happen, I'd imagine we'd have the tech to cross over into the other universe (providing it can support life) before we're all crushed or whatever.

Well, in theory you could create a wormhole to go into the next universe, but to do it would take all of the energy in this universe.

Not really. Basically, (if this were the case) the vacuum within this universe wouldn't be the most stable configuration. This would then lead to it's collapse into a more stable vacuum state.
