    Default Technic

So i've basically got the hang of technic, however i am now struggling with solar power.

Can anyone inform me how i can run a quarry using solar power?

You can't, the Quarry is part of Buildcraft and the power it needs is MJ, solar panels output EU as they're from industrial craft.

You can't convert MJ to EU any more in Tekkit, so your stuck using the basic steam pumps or something similar to power your quarries.

At first I was like, hm, energy links are out, but then I noticed this:

    http://tekkitlite.wikia.com/wiki/Electric_Engines

Using these you can convert IC2 power (EUs like those produced by solar panels) to Buildcraft power (MJs like those produced by engines).

I would have responded sooner but I'm unfamiliar with Tekkit Lite as that is the most recent version of the modpack, as far as I know. In older versions you could use the energy link block but that seems to be out now.
