Yarp, I'd agree with with extending the time. We could do with some more submissions in this round .
Yarp, I'd agree with with extending the time. We could do with some more submissions in this round .
Then I am going to add my propositions. Enjoy.
Here the studio version :
And the live version :
The first thing you will surely notice is the different singer. But there is a lot more of difference. Although the guitar partition keeps the same rhythmic it has improve. Of course changes were needed anyway since the studio version use two guitar line in order to fill one sole rhythmic. But the guitarist did the effort to not simply mix the two. This gives a unique line of guitar more suited to support the feelings of loneliness and never dying proper to this song. The sound of the guitar is from my point of view more interesting and more in touch with the theme of corruption carried in this song . To a lesser extend the bass sound is improved too even it is only the sound. The fact the the bass occupy the left stereo line on its own definitely improve the result in of the live. As it rise in predominance the smooth sound of a bass compared to a guitar support even more this ambient song. Then the sound of the drum play his part. Especially the double pedal who is surprisingly bright. And finally the singer's performance axed to the theme of the corruption rather than brutality or anything "massive" is welcomed.
In all Marduk converted what was a song with strong base but maybe not much noticeable into an outstanding result which fit perfectly in the new direction they have been taking after "World Funeral". I really advice this live CD to everyone interested in their Black Metal.

Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain 9/16
Iron maiden - fear of the dark 10/16 Awesomely epic with great participation from the audience. Great energy from Dickinson. Made me remember the times I have seen them live. Listened to the whole concert, and it is recommendable.
Black label society - 13 years of grief 5/13 The live version was imo only marginally better, and I was a bit put off by the lyrics.
Exodus - bounded by blood 8/16 "Bang your head against the stage" should only be song live, great energy.
Marduk - to the death´s head true 5/12 I did not hear it was live until the end. The riff annoys me a bit.
@_Tartaros_: I figured out how to embed, maybe you could vote for my submission now.

Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain 7/23 - I prefer Dio's later work, but this is still a great song.
Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark 10/26 - Is there such a thing as a perfect live song?
Black Label Society - 13 Years of Grief 7/20 - To be honest I'm not too sure why I choose this, but they sound a lot better live.
Exodus - Bounded by Blood 8/24 - As Logios said, the energy in the song and performance makes the live version sound so much better than the studio recording.
Marduk - To the Death's Head True 6/18 - Not really my sort of thing, the live version did sound a bit better than the studio one though.
Ok, the new theme is Songs that contain a name of a colour in the title
Are we counting black as a colour? If not then I'll change my song.
Yes, black is ok
Necromantia - Scarlet Witching Dreams
I don't know why the uploader wrote 'screams' instead of 'dreams' in the song's title, but it's wrong. Anyway, he got the colour right.

Kroda - Schwarzpfad I (First Snow) 4/10
I thought everyone agreed that it was fairer to vote for your own songs a few rounds back?
The song sounded reasonably metalish to me. I know King Crimson are more prog-rock, but this song seems to be kind of in between genres so I don't see a problem including it. Especially since it's almost been two days since the song was submitted and no one told Davis to change it...King Crimson - Red NOT METAL
Type O Negative - Black No. 1 5/13 I don't like voice of the lead singer. The video is pretty good.
Necromantia - Scarlet Witching Dreams 2/12 Even after repeated listenings, I have not found a liking for it.
Bal Sagoth - Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria 3/9 A bit too much mumbling for me, you can vote for yourself if you like Vitated Mind.
Pretty Maids - Yellow Rain 7/21 The local heroes from my childhood, but I mainly picked it for a non-black color.
King Crimson - Red 4/10 It borderlines metal, ok with me just not to my taste.
Megadeth - Black Swan 8/17 It was the first time I heard it, and I actually liked it.
Kroda - Schwarzpfad I (First Snow) 7/17 I liked the flute parts.
Type O Negative - Black No. 1 6/19
Necromantia - Scarlet Witching Dreams 3/15
Bal Sagoth - Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria 2/11
Pretty Maids - Yellow Rain 7/28
King Crimson - Red 2/12 however it is not metal
Megadeth - Black Swan 8/25
Kroda - Schwarzpfad I (First Snow) 6/23
