The Mauryan Empire declares WAR over the Saka nomads, who were trying to claim Indian lands for themselves.

The Mauryan army marches to liberate the southern Indus Valley from the barbarians. May God Indra be with us!

OOC: I attack the southernmost Saka territories (the one on coast of Indus) using both of my moves.

    Good luck, Kybro my mate.

The tides are turning for us (Knock on wood). We attack the small region to the north and make our fist reach out to the mainland.

I guess it's time to show these sons of Yavanas the meaning of Saka might then.

I think I already told you that... that six is only to show you what you would have rolled, would you have done a move... it doesn't give you any bonuses, because you didn't do a turn... it would be the same if you had rolled a 1... you wouldnt have gotten a -1... However, you rolled a five this turn, which means you get two moves this turn, though...

    EDIT:

@Ace: That small region to the north is an island and can only be used by ship... and the mainland region can't be attacked either as your ship in the Japanese Sea cannot reach that region.

@Marshall of France: You rolled two 1's... you can only do one move...

EDIT2: Oh, yeah, my own move. I build a ship in the Eastern Chinese Sea and attack a region on mainland Japan.

Speedlion, that's not an island. It's connected to the rest of Sakhalin.

    Turn020:

    AceMcKillYoFace:
[3] The attack ends in a draw. Attack again to gain a bonus point.

    Adamat:
    [4] No move.

    Bradavies:
    [2] The first attack fails...
[6] ...but the second succeeds and your enemies are crushed.

    Average point:4

    Ciloron:
[5] Northern border is successfully established. Two moves for you next turn.

    ErgoSumm:
[3] Attack north fails and ends in a draw. Attack again to gain a bonus point next turn.
[1] Second attack fails even more and the enemy gets a chance to counterattack.[2] However, the counterattack is weak and you manage to prevent the barbarians from taking any more of your regions.

    Average point:2

    Gandalf:
[1] As well as it went last year, this year, the building goes very slow and only slight progress is made. Maybe your builders are getting exhausted from working so hard last year. Progress 8/10. Only [2] more to go.

    General Maximus:
[4] You can't attack Kybro's region at sea, but I guess that's a detail and you attack the only two regions of Kybro that you can attack. You take the first successfully.
[4] And the second falls as well.

    Average point:4.

    Marshall of France:
[3-1=2] The attack fails and ends in defeat. Just to make it clear, you have ONE move this turn.

    Schwertbruder:
[4] Attack succeeds and you take the region successfully.

    Speedlion:
[5] A medium ship (5 HP) is finished!
[2] The attack on Japan fails, however.

    Average point:4.

    Tathamet:
[1+1=2] You lose the battle and barely manage to avoid a counterattack.

    The King Of Shadows:
[6+1=7] A magnificent ship (12 HP) is finished. A ship so well built that even the biggest storms cannot sink it!

    Three moves foryou next turn.

    The Kybrothilian:
[4] Your attack on the first region of the Mauryan Empire succeeds and you manage to take it.
[4] Proceeding on your conquest, a second battle is won by you as well...
[6] And amazingly, even after two battles, your troops aren't fatigued. No, in contrary, the more they fight, the better they get, apparently. They crush the Mauryan defense in their third battle!

Average point: 5. Two moves for you next turn.

    The Mysterious F:
    [2] No move.

    Twilight Sparkle:
[2] The spy is killed while he tried to gain information.
[4] After failing to take the region for one year, the Azeri finally manage to take the region.

    Warrior Cat:
[5] Spy succeeds and returns with valuable information! You may send two spies next time!
[5+1=6] The Valkyrians manage to take the region once again with a crushing victory. Two moves and a bonus point for you next turn.

These Barbarians are proving increasing hard to convert as they cling to their false gods! Yet more instigators will be sent to show them the light of Benn! (attack again).
P.S. I like what you have done with the map, putting in the navies, good idea!

Yavanas means foreigners in Sanskrit. So for the Mauryans, every non-Indians like Greeks, Chinese, Sakas, Hunas (Huns), Persians, Turks etc. all were Yavanas. Even some people of India, that were not a part of Mauryans during early era were Yavanas (including the tribes of South India). Yavanas is like 'barbarian' word for the Greeks or Romans.
