What a strange turned of events. If this was Ck2. I would attempt to make this Kingdom into a Theroacy (Cant spell ) And then see what happens from then

I think I should.. Although in Ck2 England goes to hell anyway. I mean its like they can never truely unite. I tried to have this one king killed and then a little bit later he dies in battle lol. So England is always fighting each other for so many years it seems.

My guess is you go talk to the pope, tell him there is no clear King and ask him for permission to take it for the Church or something.

Well hey, could I or someone take over the crusade, take some of peoples retinue and knights, any nobles that want to come along with the assorted Norman adventurers and voleenteers and fantical Pilgrims. Werent the leaders of the first Crusade like below duke level anyway?

C'mon, it would be good RP for me to go on crusade and kick some Infidel ass, then come back with a bunch of crusader bros back to England and see where it goes form there.

Hi All

Looking at the situation I think it would be better if those nobles in sicily with the King (mainly Ace, Ada, Blackie etc) should not know of the rumours back home, its a world away after all. I'll chase up Raglan, in the mean time those at home can come talk to me about any cool RP around this situation and we'll try to spice it up a bit.

But for the moment, those in Sicily are unawares...

Well, can I do some RP of find some of my characters old Norman Mercanary contacts from his background to support the crusade in the mean time

Yeah I'd suggest that, I think the general idea behind the rumours was cause the King was away, thus the nobles with him should be oblivious for the moment.

Hold on, why are the doctors actually trying to fix him with real medicine? This is early medieval europe so everyone should be running around panicking about how he (and his expedition) is cursed by God, maybe trying prayer.

Stildawn, as the only active mod now, you'd better be ready to unleash the full wrath of the Papacy of Damien's character if his plan goes ahead. An Archbishop's actually naming himself King (somehow with the support of the majority of "supposedly learned" clergymen), the Pope's gonna want to put the kibosh on that big stylee.
