I'm all aware of the local exploits. Hansa trade leauge and alliance interventions, collecting vassals. Portugal vassalising Brittany . Switzerland giving MA to Austria. Teutonic Order mercenaries. Austrian ... ehhh being Austrians! I don't know what the English do over the channel. Rarely see them.

Explain again why I should not give military access to someone who not only pays me but is also nice enough to kill my rebels? while on the other hand you are busy vassalising everything you should annex and annexing everything you should vassalise.

The game started well enough. I got a RM with Taira, declared war bringing in Fujiwara, and proceeded to win (even though Fujiwara decided to be annoying by sieging half their provinces then peacing out and letting them rebuild an army). However, before the end of the very first year, both Fujiwara and Tachibana had heirs, and I was thus unable to do the (gamey) tactic of simply forcing them into PUs.

Minamoto then did... nothing... for 20 years. Minamoto is very tempted to declare war, but is set to inherit Taira and does not want their monarch to die whilst at war.

So change your screen resolution. No one to blame but yourself if your computer is displaying things in too small a font.

Just some advice: you may as well annex all of Denmark, if you have to option to. The sound toll is useful for getting an extra 25-30 ducats, when there are merchants trading in Lubeck (it can happen a few times per year). The base tax is the best around in Scandinavia and you need one of the provinces cored, to form Scandinavia. You could wait until you get a random core over the Denmark area, to speed up the transformation to Scandinavia. But no garentee that will happen any time soon.

Also grab Gotland off the TO. I know your both friends and all But that place is valuable to your small economies. Ynen wont need it as much, once he has more of Poland/Lithuania, etc...

Portugal hereby would like to say that Sicily wasn't a part of Southern Italy on its maps, that would be Naples. The mapmaker has been punished for this error and I assume we'll get to a good agreement with castille.

This session portugal has started establishing trade outposts acros europe. Sicily, Sardinia, Brittany and almost Savoy too have marked the beginning of this.

Byzantium will allow you to exist there... for now.
