Third Age (MOS 1.41) - Gondor Campaign VH/VH (Let's Play)
This Thread relates to my personal Third Age (3.2) Campaign with Gondor
This is my first attempt to record a Let's Play series, furthermore English is not my native language.
My personal goal is to win this campaign on the hardest possible conditions. I although have the ambition to help players who encounter problems in certain game aspects and difficulty levels.
I'm sure that my Episodes will help beginners and maybe even advanced players to understand the game mechanics a little bit better.

4. Don't eat raw chicken...
This thread will be updated with episodes which will record every movement that I make in this campaign, I will also provide updated information of my faction statistics.
You can give me hints or advises on my commentary, in case there are ways to improve it.
Last but not least, "...by the mouse in my hands are you're lands kept safe"... just kidding.
Hope you enjoy.
AAR's are for texts, a video is a different thing. But this might get moved to the Guides-page, because the Guides-page is also the Art-page, meaning videos belong there. But hopefully not, because things tend to get more viewed in the main page.
+Rep to you, @YassirX!
Edit: I only now watched the video, though I gave you +rep before. I see that English is not your native language, but you still speak it well and clear (I speak it well, but not clear (I think)). But I hated it when you kept extra fast time in that bridge battle. You had to hurry it seemed, and I was sure that you could have done it better without the speed of time.

Seems good so far. Small tip, have your achers placed to the side in a bridge battle. It prevents friendly fire and your fire will be more efficient as they will fire into the enemies' flank instead of front.
Good News:
I was able to tune my initial 1080p material. I experimented a little bit with some codecs and finally I was able to reduce the compressed file sizes by additional 50% without noticeably sacrificing on video/audio quality.

Thanks for this advice, I will improve this in the next episodes.
I have to say that this was mostly due to personal habit and some of my earlier episodes will suffer from this as well (in some extend).

I think it's quite... well... stupid, I'm sorry, to keep high or very high tax rates. It may help your economy a bit, but it destroys it on the long shot.
I just noticed that MOS adds voices from the BFME 1/2.
Turn 2:
Skirmisher cavalry in melee? They are wasted like that!
Yes, it's wise to hide, so the Enemy won't see you.
"Let's see how many turns I'm able to survive" You sound confident.
Nice vid, mate. +rep! Oops, I need to spread some around (I've gotten real +rep crazy now)!
Thanks for your response Bowmaster,
I have to say that my first episodes where mostly "learning by doing" as I was not used to comment my actions, this improved a lot lately.

You are right, it hurts the economy in the long term, that's why I only applied High-Tax in the early turns to give me more money for military expansion.
Without saying too much, but I can tell you that I managed to get a good economy at around turn 14 and my population growth is growing heavily.
I even show the faction ranking statistics in episode 14, maybe things will get cleared up by then.

I need Cavalry for the moral shock and especially in the Mordor border (east) I have no choice but to recruit Gondor Scouts in the early game, there is no alternative.

Re: Third Age (MOS) - Gondor Campaign VH/VH (Let's Play)
I like your videos, but your constant speeding up of the time annoys me a lot.It may be fine in single player, but you have an audience here, and most people don't like watching battles at a frenetically fast rate. You should try zooming in the field at times to give viewers a good look at the battle being fought.I would suggest you fight at the normal speed and then increase it when you mop up routing troops.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it. Proud supporter and fan of Fourth Age: Total War

Most likely Sunday or Monday.
I'm currently working on some java programs for university hence I'm a little busy.

Thanks for your feedback, I will try to make the videos a little bit more cinematic, but in the end I don't want to sacrifice my gameplay for better visuals. I will try to find a compromise.
Regarding the fast forward issue... I thought that I had addressed that issue in the newer episodes, but I will try to further improve it.

Re: Third Age (MOS) - Gondor Campaign VH/VH (Let's Play)
My LP is currently at EP30.
This is my last push, if there is not enough interest on here... so be it.
Sidenote: All my videos have no advertising, I only make them to show people how to properly use the game mechanics. My battles are focused on tactical maneuvers rather than Hack&Slay.
I'm a little bit unsatisfied with EP01-08... those where my "first steps" and English is only my second language... if you want to give my LP a try... check out Chapter 2 first.
