So, here goes:
First match.
Level 1 vs level 1. I will name the enemies forces the Hulk forces, because of their garish green colour scheme.
Fisher and Hulk forces enter the battlefield.
Takeshi sends his Bow and Yari Ashigaru up the hill to set up in the woods. He sends his 3 yari cavalry left to capture the shrine and secure flank.
Hulk cavalry begin flanking maneuver, but are quickly seen off by a feign counter-charge from Yari cavalry.
Archers on both sides engage. Both have good cover (Fisher's covered by trees, Hulk's by hill), and take small losses.
Takeshi spots gap and charges Fisher cavalry towards Hulk archers.
Hulk cavalry charges up hill towards Fisher archers. Fisher cavalry maneuvers to head them off. Hulk cavalry retreats behind their archers.
Takeshi sends cavalry into Hulk archers.
Hulk Yari Ashigaru reinforces and cavalry retreats. Some are surrounded and die in the process.
Cavalry retreats to main force, hoping to lead perusing Hulk cavalry into spear wall. Fisher archers wait anxiously for a clear shot.
Cavalry runs through Yari Ashigaru and spear wall goes up. Archers did not manage to get behind them in time and are butchered.
Hulk cavalry retreats to main force to begin assault on left flank.
Fisher cavalry rushes to plug the gap.
Hulk attack in force against waiting Fisher cavalry. The cavalry will be outmatched without reinforcement.
Both sides send cavalry reinforcement.
Fisher cavalry lands devastating charge on Hulk flank. Meanwhile, Takeshi sends Fisher Yari Ashigaru as a reserve. Neither side is sure which way the battle will go.
Takeshi sends down reserves while bringing up a second Yari Ashigaru as a second reserve. Heavy fighting ensues.
A second Fisher cavalry charge is ineffective. Takeshi is losing the battle.
Both sides are so focused on battle that reinforcing units run paralleled to each other.
Takeshi sends in second wave of reserves, to free up time for the cavalry to retreat and regroup, but does not realize a Hulk Loan Sword Ashigaru is charging them from behind.
It buys time for the cavalry to retreat, but the Yari Ashigaru are slaughtered.
The battle here is lost, and Takeshi brings his remaining battered units together at the top of the hill for a final stand. The enemy has over double the amount of forces he has. Hulk forces charge up the hill.
Takeshi knows the only way he could win now is by causing a chain reaction mass route.
He uses his only remaining infantry unit to block the horde. Meanwhile, his depleted archer units fire over the top of the unit, into the crowd.
The Ashigaru fight bravely, but he knows they cannot hold out for long. They soon begin to take heavy losses.
Takeshi sends his remaining Yari cavalry to flank left, and land a devastating charge on the Hulk forces. The strike is so deadly it carves a path through the masses.
Some stragglers begin to route. The Fisher Yari Ashigaru, spurred on by their retreat and Takeshi's rallying call, advance on the trapped Hulk forces.
Takeshi knows this is the time to completely break the enemy. He and his bodyguard charge the Hulk right flank, carving a path so deep that the Fisher cavalry attacking from the left meets them in the middle. The Hulk forces now face attacks on 3 flanks.
The enemy Hulk forces are shattered, and can only flea the terrible onslaught.
The battle is won. A heroic and costly victory for Takeshi, and, at least for now, his castle is safe.
"Join us next time on Takeshi's castle whe-" Just kidding
I welcome enthusiastically any criticism, so that I might better these if anyone is actually interested in seeing the series progress
