youre comparing vanilla m2TW to TATW is not even close. you should be comparing SS to TATW if you want to do that. I personally play both, i just change between when i want a different flavour.

Both are great game on their own way. Although I Never Play Medieval Setting unless I Play SS and when DoTS gets out well I Will Play that A lot. Also another great mod in WIP is Westeros: TW

You did not like it because it was alpha 0.5. It's basically vanilla with a Westeros map. When the real version comes out it will be great.

M2TW with SS is the top! I think SS and TATW are equals at their own point - KK made both
They are the best mods of M2TW! I play SS with a underdog faction as Denmark which gives some nice battles later on.
TATW just need some rebalancing of OoMM and OoG...

I played M2TW for years and really enjoyed, but after I started to play TATW I realized how imperfect was the original game in some mechanics.

Anyway, no M2TW no TATW, so I'll keep a place on my heart for it.

When it is done, they will be incorporating a fair amount from the books, so it would probably be helpful to have read the first few or seen the first couple of seasons of HBO's show

There ARE other mods you know... M2 with a extensive realistic mod would be as good as TATW.

TATW hands down, Germanicus battle ai, units the various STRAT file sub mods. All are a great improvement, that said SEGA's original game is the base and I remain complimentary of it.

Now a comparison to SS is a different matter all together, it really depends on my mood. I honestly prefer SS over the TATW main mod, which is why I only play with MOS on top of TATW. RC just changes everything.
