But, I will be a bit less of a tease, and say that, as you can all now see, we only have one roster still to make, and progress is rapidly being made on that one. After that, we'll be BETA-testing, to iron out niggling little CTDs and stuff- the game is basically playable, with descriptions, armies, buildings, new scripts, etc ingame.

I could be wrong here, easily. But I think there's a good possibility you'll see a release before Easter, and that it's almost certain the DL campaign will be out before the summer.

We'll be recruiting beta testers soon.
Maybe I just forgot a step but I thought Danube Limes was meant as a pre-release to EOR? Like a warm up to the behemoth.

    Either way it's looking great

    You're correct.

    Well, half correct.

It's the first of TWO pre-releases.

I'm glad for the progress, I say, even though I don't like barbarians, its just astonishing.

Rubbish) Greeks and Barbarians are both interesting in equal measure. Every culture has its beauty to it, once you take the time to explore it. The Antians are going to be sweet!

Yeah youre right, just that their not my kind of peepol ... Let me tease you a bit with our Sassanid progress (in our next campaign, not in the Danube Limes) (they are civilised as Greeks, just in a different way)

The shields of the followers of the King of kings, Ruler of rulers, God of gods are pretty sweet.

Just a question though, is that script on the first one written in Arabic letters? Would the Persians have been using that script during Sassanid times?

    Geez, hell no!
Its in Avestan script, that is still used by non-islamic Iranians today

And was official during Sassanid period.

    Thanx

I was really too busy in the last days... great preview! An interesting people, those Antes, I will make sure to try them out. +Rep to the EoR team! It would be fantastic if you will really finish the Danube campaign until the summer. Is there any chance of a detailled campaign map preview with the faction's starting positions soon?

I think the final map will probably be previewed at the same time as the preview for general in-mod features like the unique scripts Deutschland has spent a lot of time on!

Any idea of when we can expect to see the final map preview? I'm really excited about this mod.
