No it is possible, the cavalry of Carthage can reach Messana fairly easy. And the ships can drop off the infrantry.
In the chaos of battle, when the ground beneath your feet is a slurry of blood, puke, piss and the entrails of friends and enemies alike, it's easy to turn to the gods for salvation. But it's soldiers who do the fighting, and soldiers who do the dying, and the gods never get their feet wet.
Being so far away from sicily, i have no idea whats happened. Has carthage taken Messana from the Scipii? Its what it looks like!
It is perfectly possible I assure you. Also your 24 hours are up.

EDIT: Uh, question, did Sebatianus already play his turn? Since he has seen that he has lost Messena...

Well, I'll send out my turn and in the event he already played his turn then ignore the message you receive...

Hm, unfortunately I may also have to join Somerus in questioning how you were able to take that city by the first turn...
What I did is I loaded the starting army onto a boat... moved it to Messena.. sieged it.. bought all the Mercs available (2) for extra help... and I auto-resolved it to a Crushing Defeat.. I then tried fighting it myself to be destroyed by Roman Infantry and fortifications... how did you do it?

for the ,,unexperienced'' players in RTW or should i say
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
elephants can tear down the gates(acting as siege machines) and inside there i saw 3 hastati+general and 3 hastati as reinfoircements
he crushed the reinforcements alone and then moved on to the hastati that were inside
to the north of Mesinna there was a fleet of Carthage, that fleet can go near Lylibaeum or how its called on a perpendicular line with the troops (90 grades - L)
and reach near Messina with the troops and take it
simple yes?...
where's your logic and rtw experience people....??
the screen is taken from a single campaign just now so dont QQ about toggle_fow in our hotseat, i dont even have the save anymore
I suppose I'm just not used to the Romans being OP killing machines.
