I fixed it by getting a Unit Card that matched the Unit
Same went for Armenian Horse Archers. That's a faction I'd like to see you try, Armenia.

Who can guess WHY the Town Watch in SSaS have an Armour value of 1?
Tick tock, Tick tock...
Tick tock, Tick tock...
Good games!

I will see if a buddy of mine will do a Let's Play Series of your mod since it is challenging, and he likes a challenge. Plus this mod needs some publicity
Investigating the starting situation... and creating a save point with options set.
The Armenian SSaS start...
A decent starting army and a GOLD deposit near the town of Kotais...
hmm.
This is gonna be VERY CHALLENGING but is exactly the kind of thing I like to rise to!
I love these challenges...
Good games everyone!

That would be AWESOME ahowl...
HOWEVER!
He may need to play a few games before doing so to adjust to the new mechanics...
He may be a bit lost at first and this way a Let's Play would run more smoothly...
Sure its a CHALLENGE. It was intended to be so...
I have been playing RTW since demo/release and this Version 2.3 is what I ALWAYS wanted from the game!
I dont think I have ever even played a serious Armenia Campaign before!
I still have alot to experience in the SSaS world myself...
95% of the Campaigns I have EVER played in RTW were with the Roman Julii and the Iberians (Spain)...
I have no idea why... lol
However SSaS was calculated mathematically so every challenge will be a good one and I promise a good/challenging experience with any faction! (Some tougher than others naturally...)
I think a SSaS Let's Play should be created by a veteran of the modification so they can break down alot of the key features/changes as they play to help others better understand them...
I guess if he is willing, first step would be to get him up and running with the modification and to start gaining the experience...
Tell him to crank it to Hard/Hard.
Good games everyone...

Lol I understand completely, but he is the type that goes in head first and we get to experience the pain of losing with him. If others see him struggling, it will entice them to play. Gamers want challenges, not cake walks
So are the HAs back in for Parthia and Armenia?
HAs are kinda Parthia's thing, right?...Parthian tactics and all. A mix-up between the model and the unit card graphics shouldn't result in a gameplay change.
Nope.
We need to get used to the idea that the Parthians were more than likely more on the ground than on horseback...
EDIT - I just corrected the tooltips in the faction selection screen so as to not mislead anyone... (I simply removed the "Horse Archer" text...)
Good games everyone!

1st report from my Armenian Campaign!
Hard/Hard
Long Campaign
I went ahead and decided to take up the challenge side-by-side my Roman Julii Campaign since I have done it so many times...
The CHALLENGE is extraordinary but so far so good.
A tip for all of you... WATCH YOUR TACTICS when your an eastern faction. They MUST BE different for you to be successful!
You NEED farms in such arid terrain to maintain your settlements unlike more fertile lands so put special emphasis on this...
I just won my first open field battle against the Seleucids 1 turn after they decided to declare war on me...
Here is my current progress and here are the stats of my victorious general after promotion...
Also remember the IMPORTANCE of generals!
So far, so good ahowl...
Good games everyone!
-iLeeT_PeeP
Nice! Though it's Armenia not Parthia haha (check top of last post)
Maybe a bit of both...
I see it as no big deal...
The area surrounding the Parthian empire doesnt strike me as suitable "natural" grazing grounds for horses anyway...
So this eases my mind with this change...
Its more challenging now alex86...
Wow you really like Horse Archers...
Good games!

2nd report from my Armenian Campaign!
Hard/Hard
Long Campaign
Well I am still alive and have managed to survive the continuous Seleucid onslaught...
This is so FREAKIN difficult... Even for me!
It is very hard economically to sustain my empire any further and I am pressed with a very hard choice...
Kamikaze to the END!?
I have gone ahead and made a very difficult choice...
BUT!
It seemed to be the best one avaliable to me...
I have decided out of sheer necessity (I am not able to economically sustain the armies I need to stay alive much longer) to attack the neighboring Seleucid province/settlement, since we are already at war, rather than risk a second war with another neighboring faction!
I went ahead and saved my Campaign calling it a day while I build siege equipment...
Everything will rely on the outcome of this battle!
This really stretches your RTW skill to its limits!
Good games everyone!

Once you take Hatra, make a B-Line for Antioch, it's a big city with a port so it should stabilize the economy. Only problem is that you'd be bordering Egypt!
lol...
You make it sound so easy...
How are you even so sure I am going to win this battle for Hatra?
I NEVER use reloads out of principle and always accept my losses... So lets not be so sure just yet.
People who use reloads dont challenge themselves completely and are in-experienced at handling tough situations because of it, so I never do so...
EITHER WAY!
The AI is VERY GOOD on Hard/Hard with SSaS's building browser model...
Look at what is awaiting me there!
My Spy to Antioch...
Antioch is their Capital and seems to be in no way ungaurded...
Its not that easy ahowl, but good thinking man! Ports def. can bring in some coin...
Wish me luck... I should record this battle for Hatra...
Good games all!

How did Hatra turn out?
