Great idea! I feel that vanilla Sengoku has too few building options. Its a little better in RotS.

Edit: Will you have the different eras in different packs or will you have it all in one?

    Split between Eras.

    Very very nice!
More buildings always gives much more options for the main strategy and if they're well balanced (and I'm sure they will be) this mod could be one of the best additions to the vanilla gameplay!
When do you think it will be ready?

Exactly what tables would be needed to make a new building, because I'm interested in doing this myself

Very interesting idea and one that I do not think many people have thought about.

    Good Luck!

Hello weirdo! I'm very interested in this sort of mod. When I explored the possibility myself I ran into difficulty defining buildings for the Boshin era (even after significant pestering to Akaie). If you can get past that with even a proof of concept I owe you my gratitude. But either way, if you can add some building variety to the Shogun campaign you have my full support.

Just wait dear sir...I'm in Game-Crashing, CTD Inducing, Ctrl+Alt+Del pushing, Trial and Error Phase...
May take a while to pass this phase, especially when it need complete table rewriting...

Hah, I was right there not all too long ago. Let me know if you need an extra set of eyes and I'll do what I can.

Kugkings I missed your post before. For custom buildings you need:

    building_chain_to_slots*
    building_chains*
    building_culture_variants
    building_effects_junction
    building_faction_variants**
    building_factionwide_effects_junctions
    building_level_armed_citizenry_junctions
    building_level_required_technology_junctions
    building_levels
    building_units_allowed
    building_upgrades_junction

And the building .loc files from local_en.pack:
    building_chains
    building_culture_variants
    building_description_texts
    building_faction_variants**

You may not need every one of the above, but I think that covers everything. If someone figures out how to make a building in a custom chain (not in an existing chain) for the Boshin campaign again I am very interested.

    * For creating custom building chains (not taking an existing building type)
** Otomo DLC usage. Appears to support custom buildings for individual clans. Neat.

Has anyone made any progress on this? I've tried myself, but I can't figure out why it's crashing every time I try to start or load a campaign
