What do none of you watch the Borgias, the Tudors or Game of Thrones? Here it is again if anyone would care to enlighten me.
"I was meaning to ask you guys a question: Is it weird that I dislike or am altogether indifferent towards Game of Thrones? I don't really get what's so great about it but my buddy would never get this since he is totally obsessed with it (as are many others). I also felt the same about the Tudors and only until now that the Borgias is a show do I feel anything for that type of program (I think the Borgias is much better than the Tudors as the Tudors just bored me)"
I don't want to go out of my way to watch Game of Thrones or the Tudors. I do however try to watch the Borgias whenever it's on.
GoT is alright, albeit somewhat overrated in my opinion. Borgias and Tudors is a bit too slow and drama filled for me.

Game of Thrones has lots of incest. Rome only had one incest scene.
HBO have a thing for incest, because it have this need to be so edgy. Sort of like money talking about Internet porn.

They are definitely being edgy. The gore is just awesome. As a Stargate fan, I smiled when I saw Jason Mamoa play the Khan dude.
The Tudors was pretty slow and boring and I could give no flying ****s about Henry VIII. But the Borgias is somewhat faster than the Tudors and the story is pretty good as is the acting. Rome had some good actors too and a pretty solid story. Then I watch Game of Thrones and everyone gets killed (especially any character that I like), the whole show just looks like edgy BS with no story and no fun characters that are mostly one dimensional and serve little purpose (although ****ing Godfrey man, that guy's funner to watch than Commodus). The story for GOFT is ****ing everywhere and I can't watch a single damn episode without asking a million questions and then feeling like I only see Cerse's tits as an excuse to have a pointless show. Where the **** is the story progressing? It makes no ****ing sense! You killed off Sean Bean and now I don't have a legitimate reason to watch the rest of the show. Besides anyone saying that the Borgias is too slow is easily amused by blood and tits (usually at the same time) since the characters do nothing unless they die and the story branches off in every direction and then goes ****ing no where! It feels as bad as watching The Last Airbender except GOFT has more tits.
God, I'm so glad I got that off my chest after so long.
Yeah I agree. It's even worse if you have read the GoT books because you are never surprised.
Try Spartacus, that is my general advice. You seem like the kind of person that would like that show. (I sure as hell do)

I saw the whole first season, the fact that mother ****ing Xena herself was in it really helped. Not as good as Rome though but the action is friggin sick. I'll watch season 2 some time, is it weird that Spartacus is a different guy though?
When i first heard about this series, i thought "what a bore, it is probably all about history and educational" but then i got curious and after i watched the 1st episode i was totally overwhelmed.
But, i agree with slow going.
I love Spartacus too, watched it all.
The original Spartacus character [Andy Whitfield] was the best.
Sadly he died on Sept 11, 2011

Spoiler for King of Persia:
There is a prequel season that is arguably the best season of them all. Its just fantastic entertainment from start to finish.
I have a TV in my dorm, but I never bothered to connect it to the cable network, I just download whatever the hell i fancy watching. Much better than having to suffer through commercials, MTV and Pawn Stars.
