    He grinned.

I would advise you not to doubt me... My ancestor married a Dondarrion after the Martells invaded. Back then the Rhoynish blood wasn't in the Dornish, and they were more like the Andals or first men. He also married on of Durran the Daughter-Ridden's daughters, and was the regent of Argilac the Arrogant in his youth.

Vayne's smile began to shorten, but it was Auron that spoke.
And I would advise you to mind your tone when speaking in my presence. What hard ships did your house endure in Dorne to leave again? he said curtly.

Auron had not been the same since he sent Leon to the Wall. His health declined, his temper became worse...

He turned his head slightly, giving a bow that could have been mocking. Or not.

Apologies, my lord. Anyhow, my house were driven out by the Martells, so we fled to the Stormlands.

And why were you chased out, one would wonder? Auron said in response.

Vayne looked at his father with a heavy heart. He is changing before my eyes....and there isn't a damn thing I can do to help.
Vayne thought about asking his father to let it lie, but it was a question that would do them well to know the answer

    He rolled his eyes.

We supported Yronwood against the Rhoynar hordes of Nymeria.

    Quite a distant offense
Well you have our hospitality while you are here Master Blackadder. I will be attending to a few matters at court tomorrow but after that, perhaps we can sit and talk. Vayne said politely.

Though Vayne stayed polite in manner, he was worried internally. This man had not appeared from nowhere for no reason. This was a sentiment clearly shared by Auron, and he wore the suspicion on his face.

The next morning he was summoned by Vayne Baratheon to breakfast.

Good morning Blackadder, please, break your fast with me. You said you have Connington beginnings, have you met Lord Connington? Vayne asked curiously. His father had yet to rise from bed. The perfect time to have this conversation.

    He coughed.

    Dondarrion, my lord.

Alyss Tully arrives with a small escort, asking to see the Lord Baratheon.

Ah! Dondarrion, apologies. It seems yesterday was rougher than I thought on me. No matter, have you ever been to the Stormlands before? Enjoyed our hunting? Enjoy our women? Vayne asked not so discretely. Measuring the man was important, he did seem a bit easily upset but did not show it as easily. At least for now.

Alyss is taken to Vayne Baratheon instead, Auron being in a state of isolationism for himself and much of the Stormlands.

Madam Tully, Vayne says as he moves from his seat to stand in front of her and bow.
To what do we owe the pleasure. It has been years since we have recieved any envoy from the Riverlands.

Vayne was curious as to her presence. With no word received, with nothing goin on that he knew of, he was rather intrigued at the prospect of speaking with a family member of one of the Paramount families.

    He looked around.

No actually, I have not had the pleasure of doing so until now.

Nervous? Vayne said noticing the man looking around. It was curious, his suspicion of this man. He was not suspicious by nature.
This damn lord business is getting to me

"Ser Baratheon." Alyss curtsies and the two knights with her bow. "Apparently the trade agreement between our houses is due to expire at the end of this year, and my mother wished to extend it by ten years, if House Baratheon is willing."

    No... Just inspecting the place.

"Alan Connington Lord of Griffin's Roost. I here this is you first time in this lands."

Alan smiled, he did not like any of this, a man appearing from nowhere saying to have ties with his Lord's house. But respect has to be shown he did not want to anger his lord if in the end the story was truth

    He nodded, bowing his head.

Indeed it is, Lord Connington. I was just on my way to Sunspear... I thought I might drop by the home of my long lost kin.
