Why not?, If it is OP it is my work to try to fix it
I would rather rebuild trade so it doesn't rely on how rich a player is so much,
but I don't see a way.
Trade is more the transferring of goods than money, and no LP should be making that much.
It's ludicrous to think that much money can be made.
Good job. Alas, it has been something that has been in this game for ever, so I am not quite willing to scrap it unless you can present a very good alternative.
......................................................................................................................................................................
....................... It's a medieval world not a democracy, yes it's a bit OP just like overall GDP of china is going to be greater than the GDP of Kyrgyrstan. Thus it would profit more from trade with a larger GDP state than a smaller one. The basis is basic and economically sound i don't understand what's wrong with it.
And the transferring of goods yes, transferred how? By monies. If we had a system which encompassed what regions held what goods and were in need of what goods and how much each of those goods were worth depending on what certain regions would pay based on the amount of that good they already had then possibly.

So do we want a world with a China-esque player, who can ing rush-buy 100.000 men and destroy everything on his way?
Lords are making too much, and this was said to me by a Lord character.
Nobility wasn't so rich (There is a few excepting cases)

UHHHHHHHHHH no.
This player is earning
300.000 per year
I used china as an example but I'm referring to any high GDP country. And they could buy the troops and try, but that's what the rest of the realm is for, to keep them in check. As it was in lore. The Lannisters, richest house in westeros, have some of the richest land in lore and they didn't go on a tirade claiming all they kill. It was suicide politically and literally. Noone is going to use their money like that anyway. This coming from a Lord player who didn't wanna be one originally lol (damnit I did it). Anyways the reason the LPs became LPs weRe because they were the baddest most powerful, and most oft, most wealthy mofos in their lands.
Lol soon it'll take 3 yrs to buy a simple steel broadsword and have any troops to lead into battle

When I buy port upgrades I can buy them with no prereqs and they stack?

If I cannot find a way I will make one.

Yes. But you have to buy them in order, so no buying the end one straight away.
But they are really rudimentary, and will be subject to upgrades.
Upgrades? So is it worthless to buy them now?

I would recommend holding off until I can work something out.
I told you I'd do it lol

Btw, why on hell does Brightwater Keep have fleet levy?
The Florents don't even have any kind of access to the coasts of the Reach and furthermore aren't known for their naval power in the books. Most ships, lead by them, were the war galleys of Dragonstone like the Fury or Salladon Saan's ships.
Would make as much sense as giving Thorren's Square or Harrenhall a fleet levy.
If we went by that logic, only major cities would have fleets really, with the exception of Dragonstone and the Iron Isles.
Maybe it should be that way
IMO all coastal forts should have naval levies. Small though they may be, it stands to reason they would have some type of naval fleet
and brightwater keep has one because their lands extend to the coast. that coast would need defense, expecially back in the day to defend from ironborn.
hell now that im looking at how they are appropriated, I have no naval forces to speak of. Its pitiful actually lol
