boysetsfire - Tomorrow Come Today
Released: April 1, 2003
Label: Wind-Up Records
Genre: Post-Hardcore
boysetsfire was a five member post-hardcore band from Delaware. boysetsfire is known for supposedly being one of the first bands to combine melodic singing and screaming in their vocals. boysetsfire blended influences of hardcore and emo into their sound, becoming one of the first "post-hardcore" bands. One thing that distinguishes boysetsfire from other post-hardcore bands is their refusal to "pull any punches" politically. Tomorrow Come Today is their third full-length album release.

The sound of Tomorrow Come Today is guided by the excellent vocals and formidable instrumentation. The melodies are catchy, and often well-contrasted by screaming and the riffs are strong. Tomorrow Come Today covers a wide range of subjects, including political issues ("Eviction Article," "Bathory's Sainthood," etc.), spousal abuse ("White Wedding Dress") and economic struggle ("Management Vs. Labor"). Overall, it is a powerful and intense, yet catchy album that I highly recommend. The top three songs (marked with *), IMO, are "Full Color Guilt," "Release The Dogs," and "White Wedding Dress."
