Thread: Play RSII in windowed mode?

Default Play RSII in windowed mode?

Ever since I got a second monitor I'd love to play RSII in windowed mode whilst playing Eve online. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get RSII windowed. Any help?

You can, I believe, but would strongly recommend against it.

EVE (which I finally gave up on earlier this year) is already one of the most demanding games on the market - but RSII can require more.

Let alone that I would never recommend playing RSII with the internet connected, as it's much more stable with no Anti-Virus running.

Let alone that it's even more stable again when you do nothing but run RSII.

I'll make it out myself whether or not I can play it. I just need to know how to run in windowed.

I put -ne in Steams launch options for Rome Total war. And in RS2 launcher their is a message box with text in it already and a save button next to it. I put a space and -ne and it works. I am transcoding, watching shows on my second monitor(tv), and browsing the web while playing.

I don't have the steam version though.

just add -ne to the command line in the launcher

I use windowed mode most of the time

It even works with bloom you just have to ctrl+alt+delete into task manager and then out again

When I put -ne behind "Rome Surrectum II" and I launch it, it gives me an error.

Actually, the problem is that I can't find the target space when I right-click and go to properties on the Roma Surrectum II launcher

I got it working. Thanks for the help.

Hey I have windows 8 . What exactly that command does ? I press those I get a blue screen with these items: lock, switch user , sign out, task manager.

Are you asking what the -ne does or the CTRL+ALT+DELETE?

CTRL+ALT+DELETE is the way to get into the Windows Task Manager (usually).

You add -ne to the command line within the launcher (i.e. where the red 7 is)
