i have noticed here a common mistake:

the papal states arms are the opposite of what it is shown in the picture... the golden key is positioned to the left (not to the right).... the picture that you have now (for "Cancellarius Apostolicus") is that of the modern state of the "Vatican City".... when the arms were designed, the arms of the Holy See were chosen BUT in a mirrored way.....

but in the middle ages, they were either only golden or only silver.... we have accounts of both cases...

also, the background (yellow-white) is also modern.... the arms of the Papacy had red background....

Konny, have you done extensive testing on the AI and seen any improvement in campaign the performance. Does it make better armies? Does it make better choices to who it goes to war with? Does it move quicker?

Basically I am asking ... is the AI still retarded?

will 0.9 be a stand alone version? or do you need 0.7 or 0.8a to play it?

konny, isn't the new map making it a long trip to go from town to town?
and i had an idea. why not replace the voting of the cardinals for the pope to voting of the elector counts for the kaiser?
or is that to much to ask?

in 1080, the city was still controlled by scandinavians (although they had lost most of their influence in ireland), thats why we go with the viking name.

we will most likely keep the name changing feature though, so if its conquered by scotland or gael rebels, it would change to the irish name.
