First Prussian work in progress screenshots
Musketeer. New coar with white under vest, and modified bicorne.
Great work, as always!
compliments ! they are great and pretty unique
Prussian grenadier. The HAT is not perfect, but that's the best I could do working with CA mesh as a base.
The front is more or less OK, but I wanted to base to be red when seen from the side.
And so it's not very nice from the back due to the way CA managed the texture (they use the same part of the texture for the back top as for the side part, so it's red also. And I couldn't put a gold trim at the top, only the bottom, or it appears on the back of the front plate...
To improve the that, it would be necessary to make a new one, or at least to remap the texture. And this I don't know how to do.
But even with all the flaws, it's probably the most historically correct Prussian grenadier hat we have around for 1805.
Excellent effort with the limited tools available.
Couple of minor points:
1. line grenadiers edging to the cap should be white; NCOs was
brass/gold in colour.
2. colour of the base & back of the raised portion should be in the regimental facing colour.
See attached.
Must admit my preference would be for the Prussians to have white trousers but you are the modeller...

Thanks for the tips. This is still early preview, to check the shape.
I'll change tghe edging to white, and the regimental colour will actually be the red/orange I used for the musketeer, and the musketeer will get the pink (I exchanged the musketeer and grenadier regimental colours since I made the first screenshots).
About the pants: I put the line in campaign dress with brown pants, many reference pictures show them like that (but the shade of brown is not definitive, I think it may be better lighter), and later I'll make the guard with white pants, so they'll be easier to distinguish.
Would you have a better quality image for the eagle on the grenadier cap, and for the fusilier brass eagle?

Helpful as always!
I think at some point you posted some reference describing the different types of plates for the late Prussian, but I don't remember where.
Here are all the shakos we have for 1808+, can you please confirm to who they belong, and if we forgot one?
Will post answers here as I dig them out
Top row numbered 1 to 6 from left to right.
Bottom row 7 to 11 again from left to right:
Answers so far:
1 Line Grenadier
2 Line Hussar
3 Line Musketeer
4 Garde Jager
5 Line Jager & National cavalry
6 Garde zu Fuss Officer
7 Garde zu Fuss
8 Line Schutzen
9 Line Musketeer NCO
10
11 Line Fusilier
You need a shako for the Dragoons - use Model 1 add white cords & change the top band to black (example attached).
You also need shakos for the artillery - will dig out some reference pictures & post later (edit now attached).
Edit: Correction required as Line Jager moved from 8 to 5.

Updated version of the musketeer:
- The two belts don't have the same width
- Lighter pants
- Taller bicorne for the officer
- They have the pink regimental colors.
Grenadiers
- Rework plate
- White band in the back
- Red-orange regimental colour
I think this base is now good enough to produce other types of early Prussian infantry
Those Musketeers are absolutely fabulous
Grenadier hat might be not perfect... but is a huge historical improvement! The different size of musketeers cross belts and the detail of the Officer´s bicorne... its just outstanding. I admire your work.
For the artillery, since there were little variations in the uniforms apparently, I played with the belts to mark the difference between the units
12lb have two wide belts
6 lb have two belts, one large and one narrower
And the howizter have no belt
The horse artillery will be done later, they have different pants and coat.
