By the way, Resef can you tell me what is the progress of the map integration with CATW?
As you can see from the pictures Anarchon has finished the main part (the integration itself), he is now working on beautifying it.

I was just thinking that getting the roads to connect to every far flung territory is probably not worth it as there probably weren't many roads on the steps etc.you could just have one road following the silk road then branch off to different regions.

Yes I would not have minded if this happened in Tibet, Burma, Far North etc.
It has happened in Far South(Agisymba) which is fine.
But also a partial problem with trade/roads for Garamantia which I do want connected and trading around.
Only partial, to west, and 2 trade-links, so not wasting any more time on it.
Have done some work on the look of the map which is now much better.

Seriously, it has since had a lot more work done on it.
I shall discuss with Resef about releasing the latest version.
But he has some hardware issues and work issues to handle first.

Anarchon's map is not in the patch yet.
It will be appearing in the next release. The map may appear beforehand but this doubtful since I think that we both want the next release to open up a whole new experience and feel to CATW. Right now it is in the pre-alpha stage along with the rest of our work I will eventually create a few small previews of what is to come once I feel we are both satisfied with the progress.
This new experience and feel to CATW will be achieved in a variety of ways which we are currently conversing about and re-imagining. The map is the catalyst for these changes which are in my opinion are rather revolutionary and fun. I am extremely excited and cannot wait to get this into the (open?) beta stage.

Only the terrain graphics!
And Resef has provided new graphics for watchtowers/ports etc.
So I now need to edit all the watchtower locations to go where there were minor settlements.
