    Default BB 4.24 Mini Manual

    Hi folks,

It has come to my attention that a lot of new BB players are having difficulties discovering some of the wonderful options that are available in this mod. I guess there are even some veterans out there who don't know all of the options. Here's my attempt to clarify things a bit. I will not be covering the whole mod , just some of the basic options unique in BB that are easy to miss. My manual will be very brief , because the options are very well explained ingame. (Thanks to Taiji)

To access defence spending , click on a settlement , then press the button I marked.

You can also invest in your economy , but only if you have built a synagogue and have at least 10.000 florins at the start of the turn. You can invest up to 100.000 florins , and receive interest for it each turn .(interest varies according to the health of the economy) If you are in dire financial straits , you can also lend money.

Nice! Much needed as BB changes alot I think most people don't realize until they get further into a campaign.

Quick question regarding taking a loan. Where is the repayment option? There is no button for accepting or declining to repay outstanding credit like that of investments. I have had far more then the amt of my outstanding credit in my bank several turns now, with no apparent option to repay.

    thx.

Kshar , I combed out the BB thread , and couldn't find the answer to your question. I've never really used the option myself (I'm afraid of loans) , so I really can't tell you the answer. Tried it myself just now , and like you said there seems to no option to repay your loan.

The only reference I could find from Taiji in regard to loans was this :

'You need 10k to make an investment, and be in the minuses to take a loan. It should be working, and I think it should work with the master templars and of course the bank too.'

Perhaps there is a minute chance a script got mixed up , and that you might need a master templars or a bank to repay your loans. Wish I could test it out myself right now , but I just recently started a new campaign , so I haven' t got any advanced buildings / guilds yet. Also I've got no old saved games anymore since I got a new computer recently. Perhaps someone else can test this out , if not , I can give more answers when I can build those buildings. (which might take a long time)

Hey buddy, I really appreciate you looking into this! I'll try to get a bank up asap.

Early game as Byz is a serious squeeze on the finances and I didn't want to offend any more of my nobility lol.

Very good LM. Together with the Lets Play, this might be the bits that will make me give DLV a chance, because Im currently whaiting on a brand new gaming computer coming around my mail bag.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

    Hi Sandy,

Do you have problems viewing the pictures? They see to work fine for me. Or do you mean something different?

    Kind regards,
