"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

Yeah He's like a little version of Rearend (Riordan) and as intelligent as him
Mmh what actually happened to Imrie? He always seemed a classy player when he was at Caley and Hamilton. I remember a match at Tynecastle where he scored one of the best freekicks past us I've ever seen.

What?
He is very, very limited and has a poor footballing brain. Declinig physique. Could get sent off every second game he plays in. Terrific workrate though, whatever that is worth....but we had that argument
Ach, the same old story. Whats next? A "referees-are-always-pro-Celtic"-argument? Cause that would be so new
Both penalties were ridiculously bad decisions from Madden. The one that Matthews "caused" even more. We need professional referees with awardial/monetary rewards for good performances.
There is no OF left. Call it either Celtic arrogance or call it my arrogance and it would still make no sense. I can always watch my team due to CelticTV and have all of our games in at least 480p quality on my hard drive, so what kind of "arrogance" is beneath my preferal of Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen & 2 other teams?
Motherwell vs Inverness is likely to create a horrible atmosphere - as such not a very attractive choice compared with Hearts vs Kilmarnock or St. Mirren vs Hibernian. 2nd vs 3rd count for nearly nothing in the current climate, in one months time Kilmarnock/Dundee United could be second, Inverness down to 7th. 2nd one is a joke though.
We are not to blame for the current blight on your two SPL clubs.....apart from the humping we gave each of you...of course you don't support 60 clubs and, umpf...I can't even provocate you any more nowadays.
They would need to go back in the 90`s to find one that is not currently licensed/screened on another channel. A re-run of Dinosaurs would be lovely though. Wow, lecturing a grammatically poor non-maternal tongue writer...nice.
Doing my best to entertain you buddy, you hurt my feelings. Why the reluctance to explain your given advice?
Whats the name of the team we both consonantly support? French is a lovely language, so Oinnayng le'ploe FC?
You can stay inside your closet and use protective lnguistic bombasts but thats one topic where you will likely face homogetic agreement.
No, just the idiots.`Probnably the one who would join the EDL.
Which Saxony do you mean? The historic one who invaded your island and fought Karl the Great/Charlemagne or the inscrutable speaking population of east Geramny?
Bavaria is wonderful, getting subsidies since the early 60th has led to a remarkable wealth in socially calm circumstances.
Consider it failed, under Merkels very composed, stringend rule, they'll have no chance. Not for 200 million smoked salmons in bribes.
@Danny: Agreed, Stokes has had a remarkable recovery. Needs a kick up the ass Will have to up his stats for the summer as it seems, do you play FM?

Imrie only comes on as a sub for us now usually. I still quite like him but he hasnt been the same player I saw at Hamilton. He used to play in a free role just off the striker but we dont allow him to do that. We usually play him as a winger. He seems to have lost what ever pace he once had though which is a shame as he's a player who always trys and gives a bit of dig to the team. We have our own freekick specialist in Graeme Carey although mind you he hasnt scored one in a while
Think the correct question is who doesnt play FM?

Carey is an interesting one, was touted as the best player in League One, now on rotation dutie for the mighty saints I've not seen him many times, are his free kicks still that great?
For our youth, he had a great, if erratic, left foot. One time hit the ball like CR7 and the next game it trundled out for the throw-in. Liked our deals with the Saints, a loan for McGeough/Twardzik would be great. Wasn`the best time for Graham though as Mowbray refused to play the U-19's.
good one
Its cracking, especially 2013, enjoyed it much more than the previous one. I'm a bit of an editor-nerd, had around 45000 changes but rested the game with the scottish data update coming out next week/in a fortnight. St. Mirren are really talented and have financial potential with their small ground, Teale is useless though

He's not hit a good freekick in a while. We've been playing him at left back most of the time as thats a position we always struggle to fill long term. His crosses from pretty far out are excellent though. His best form with us sadly was probably when on loan with us years ago. Yes we've got some good players from celtic. Carey and Mcgowan ovbiously. We had Scott Cuthbert on loan a few years back and of course Van Zanten and Goodwin are both ex celtic players.
Yeah St.Mirren have a good team this year with good youth and a secure financial footing. Although teale and Samson are really underated in fm this year.. shame. I've decided to give myself the hard task of getting clyde from the 3rd division back to the spl

Thanks for proving my point. OF arrogance
Yeah, that's a shame. Indeed when I have seen him recently he looked very slow, while he was much more pacy back then. I remember Radio Clyde named him their player of the season once
As for Carey, are you satisfied with putting him at left back? I mean, is he any good at defending? If I remember correctly, he was replaced there by Dummett again in the last weeks.

Utter ignorance. Its not about contempt towards "diddy-teams."
1. Inverness had 23 away fans at Fir Park, even less than St. Johnstone brought to Easter Road with 26.
2. The table is extremely competitive, my point about Kilmarnock/Dundee United & Inverness possibly switching the tables of two weeks ago, which devalues the current positions, stands.
How does this antipathy of such a poor atmosphere lead you to assume a typical OF-arrogance? Genuinly curious.
I share the same dislike for matches involving teams from.... the Úrvalsdeild or russian premier league. Edit: Seems we've solved this issue

I'll sound like a grumpy, old, drunken bassa but Motherwell would be better off spending his wages on a reliable player. He had an interview in may, talking about possibilities in MLS, SPL & lower english leagues after 14 appearances in 3 years - his reply: "I'm not ready to step down to that level."
Its a high-profile signing though, now that he has finally decided to sign for his tome-town club.
Not initially, of course, rejected them the last two seasons, rejected them after they nurtured him back to fitness in pre-season to sign just days after the previous rejection from Forest, Watford and two other clubs. Still thought he was too good for Motherwell after 3 years in the abyss and 24 months out injured.
A most ridiculous article written in september 2012:
But check that Wikipedia profile again – McFadden is 29. Twenty-nine. He is, theoretically, in the prime of his career.
McFadden replied with a shrug, ‘I’ve been a saviour for five years’. We should, in other words, be celebrating the Decade of Faddy – instead we are mired in the two year low of an era without magic, without excitement, without any real joy in the Scotland team at all.
This rules out a return to the Scottish league. As much as Hearts could do with a creative hub to prevent the support drowning Tyncastle in tears as another long ball sails over the area where Rudi Skácel used to patrol, or Celtic could do with a player to prevent Georgios Samaras full stop – McFadden remains, even after everything, far too good for the SPL.

Thing is he played really well at left back for the few games he was put there after Dummett returned to newcastle especially the semi-final where he put in some excellent tackles but then dummetts back and he's been dropped again. I think a lot of people question his attitude because he took months to get fit after joinging us and doesnt seem to want to do well which is a shame.
I hope he does well and moves to a good english club in the Summer. Although I think he's to injury prone. The man could retire now and for ever be a hero for his goal in france.
We have a certain striker who is loving being at his home club.

Mmh alright, what's your opinion on Dummett then? I agree that Carey was very decent at left back in the semi-final, though.
Haha aye. His injuries are also my biggest doubt, but it would be great to have a fully fit Faddy back for Scotland. However that is very unlikely.
Steven Thompson?
"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

Dummetts good, looks a wee bit shakey sometimes but a decent player. Not as good going foward as carey though.
Yes Thommohawk! The mans brilliant, cut him down the middle and he'd be black and white haha
Dont like Calling him a legend though, not yet anyway, feel like I'm insulting Sir Hugh Murray if I do.
Btw how do you split someones quote up like you did to mine?
Oh and I see Drivers now moved on, thats good for us!!
the dream will never die
Robert Wishart, Bishop of Glasgow, 'the kingdom of Scotland is not held in tribute or homage to anyone save God alone.' - 1290.
Ah okay, nice. We could also do with a new left back once Grainger leaves in the summer...
Aye he still seems to be a good player as well, I can imagine you guys must love him. Where is Hugh Murray gone? Partick Thistle I think?
See, for a normal quote you have two parts, in this case ''[ QUOTE=andysmfc13;12607254]'' and ''[ /QUOTE]''. (I put a blank after the bracket here so you can see the actual text) And if you want to do multi-quoting you just have to put them in the same order around the text you want to quote: Quote_Andy - I dont like Rangers - Quote
I hope you can understand that
Yep It's a shame, he was such a wonderful player before all of these injuries. I remember how we rejected a 3m offer from Twente for him back then.

Shuggie Murray is at Partick now, He got sent off on Saturday when they played Morton haha. Went and stuck the head on someone. Partick fans arent happy though, they feel he is ruining the clubs promotion chances because he cares too much about our rivalry with morton.
Think so
the dream will never die
Robert Wishart, Bishop of Glasgow, 'the kingdom of Scotland is not held in tribute or homage to anyone save God alone.' - 1290.
Haha I see why he must be a legend for you. But hasn't he always been a man near to red cards? I remember one of his first games for the Jags in the Challenge Cup, when he got sent off, if I'm not totally mistaken.
On a sidenote, Dundee have parted company with Barry Smith. Any bets from you guys who could be next? JC already mentioned himself

Thats the difference, Andy.
Thompson wants to play for you, wanted to come back and wants to stay. Apart from that, he is pretty good.
Faddy seems to be just here because he would need to play for bottom Championship/League One clubs. To talk about your hometown club as a "step down" tastes quite sour...
