Burley always goes on the negative about scottish football, always brags about how much better the EPL is and is almost completly hated by any scottish supporter. I've heard various chants, when he was commentating, from "CB your a ******, your a ******...." to "Hows the teeth, Craig?." Its impossible to like his commentating as a scottish supporter. He even claimed that Rennais dismantled our side in Glasgow, despite them loosing both matches against us. Inept.

I cant describe how much I hate Craig Burley. He made some terrible comments about us and hearts for that matter before the final. He talks down any team outside the old firm. I'm replaying vanilla Rome:TW as Macedon. The AI has a curious penchant for hurling tiself at phalanxes. Not much stealth required against them. I think the Celts have a Ranger unit…

Just thought I'd add that the best stadium I've visited is a small stadium in a village in Austria with only 1 stand, the other 3 sides were nice views of the mountains. Saw a pre season friendly there once between Arminia Beilifeld and Holsten Keel. This was a few years ago when Arminia were a 2nd division club.

He was decent, agreed. Yeah, MacDonald is struggling with harder shots and tends to "flip-parry" balls in dangerous areas. Experience should help him though. Firm supporter of your chosen youth path. Walker is really a cracking player, its in his blood and name.

It was like a Strachan Celtic-game, flavoured with the added physical aggression of the McCall-teams. Snodgrass was silly and Hanley/Hutton could have been sent off too. We need more stability at the back and less slash-them style, as we paid for it. Thought before the red card that it might be a win, but after that it was a non-contest. Their antics were despicable, why is there such a endless negativity from inside and outside our game? We had a team in the last 16 for the 3rd time since introduction that gets beat domestically. We have - again - a trophy share among clubs that fought/fight it out in tremendously entertaining finals. Our youth products are fine, especially for the population, the latter coaching seems to let them down.
Do we ever hear things like Burley @League Cup final in the EPL? No, the final between Bradford vs Swansea was promoted the example of how good the lower teams are.

Scottish football is fine and has idiosyncratic qualities that others lack, but has probably the worst promoting - and administrating - among the top 100.

As for Jamie MacDonald, very true. Do you think Ridgers would be a proper choice? I have seen him for the U21s where he was generally decent, but had some bigger howlers now or then. For the U19s and U20s he was always pretty solid by all accounts, and the same was said by Robbo at East Fife.

You should also check out Carinthia, that's where my ancestors lived! The lakes up there are very nice, with great mountains on all sides and restaurants on wooden bridges surrounded by water Also, the Slovenian and Austrian historical festivals are often an unexpected highlight- even though the folk music is not so pleasing sometimes

Cheers! To be honest the penalty you got in the second half was less clear than the Samaras one, while Wanyama was unlucky to see a red for that challenge. So it was sort of fair in the end, albeit terrible refereeing throughout the match

1. Its highly likely that he would endorse such comment, he's palestine and his two brothers represent Palestine. Unnecessary though, I can't stand him as a player. Simply shout "you are a wall of hot air that lacks positional discipline and dives into too many tackles."

On our football - Lets face it, we've been found out. Choke off the flanks, play deep and hit on the break. Do that with a fair degree of efficiency and we're toothless and a goal behind.1. We have no central threat, 2. no real aerial threat in the forward positions and 3. are thus forced to settle on ineffective link play, in and out, in and out, in and out with 4. no consistent incisive plan to undo our opposition.
Truth be told, it seems more and more that SPL teams have a better plan for us than us for them.
