I really like this one , you seem to pay a special attention to the greaves everytime. They are the most outstanding. Also the thracian helmet ridge is a very nice detail. All you have to do is to make the chain mail more rough and realistic like other guys suggested previously.

He should be a hoplite, not a phalangite, but he looks great.

We don't know exactly the term - but the spears was longer than a normal greek spear , but smaller like an macedonian Sarissa.

I used this paintings for my reconstruction:

Not a classical Hoplite, probably at the time of the 1 Punic War the Carthaginians/Lybians adopted the thureos and longche , as reported by Polybious

Andy, you are a machine. Very impressive work. When do you find the time to do it all?

I'd love to see updates on your work, kinda curious how you eventually end up with the final result. When posting larger pictures please take care to spoiler them though, so they don't stretch the screen for people with smaller screens (I went back and did it for the two posted on this page).

Ahh, good advice, thank you. I'll be sure to pay attention to that. Is there a recommend size for posted images?

Hmmm...those lorica shoulder guards looks familiar. By the way, the new image is a big improvement. Do you have a new renderer, or are you just adding new lighting?
